Austin's POV
I drive home and I text Eric saying:

Me: I'm home now.
Eric: can I take you out on a date?
Me: when did you have in mind?
Eric: well, I was thinking maybe tomorrow night, there's a drive in movie out on the waterfront closer to me. We could go get ice cream then go to the movie? I'll come pick you up too.
Me: that sounds fun, I'm down. What time would you pick me up? I do have class at night, so...
Eric: I'd probably pick you up at 6:30?
Me: sounds good to me :) that sounds like fun.
Eric: I just feel weird texting you like I'm not actually getting to know you. I mean I am, but it doesn't feel as authentic. I'm more of a face to face person tbh
Me: I understand. It does feel strange, what movie is it or are you going to surprise me?
Eric: it's between 10 Things I Hate About You and It this year
Me: have they decided?
Eric: it's people under 21 night (they do it once a year) and it's either a rom com or a horror movie usually.
Me: wouldn't they be worried about kids having sex in their cars there?
Eric: it raises money for the school and you'd think it would stop them, but it doesn't. It's mostly tame usually. There's a lot of woods around, if they need to hook up they go there or they leave.
Me: lol makes sense. Well, I should do some homework then I have dance. I'll talk before I leave the house.
Eric: ok, talk to you then, babe

I go to do homework then I text Eric saying:

Me: gays are bad at math. Please help with my physics :(
Eric: would it be a big step for us if you call me?
Me: I need help with physics and I like your face, I don't think it's that big of a step.
Eric: ok, I'll call you then :)

Eric calls me and I answer saying "hi" and he says "hey" smiling. I say "god, you're so hot" and he says "shush. Let me help you with your physics first then I'm gonna tell you how hot you are, babe." I mumble "you're so fine." I send him a picture of my short word problems and he says "ok, I need a notebook and a pencil and maybe my glasses. I can't see worth shit" quietly.

I say "where are you right now?" He says "I have study hall at the end of the day, so I went home." He puts his glasses on and writes the problem down. He writes a couple more things then says "ok, first, write what you know. Like you know the time, distance, and so on." I stare at him saying "uh huh." He says "babe, you gotta actually understand." I say "fine, tell me again" looking down, him giggling then telling me again.

He says "then you want to take one of the five kinematic equations to solve for your acceleration." I say "so, I have my time, distance, and mass. I need acceleration. What do I use?" Eric says "distance equals initial velocity multiplied by time half a t squared." I say " you know that off the top of your head?" Eric says "yeah" and I say "can you repeat it?" He says it again as I write it down and he says "that's why I said that. The initial velocity is four meters per second."

I nod and I fill in the letters with the numbers and I say "ok, I think I can do it now" yawning. Eric goes through the problems with me until my alarm goes off to get ready for dance. I sigh and I say "just in time" and Eric says "you have class?" I say "yeah" changing out of my pants into shorts. I put a hat on and he says "do you know what you're doing today?" I say "shaking my ass as usual" making him laugh and I say "no, I have my group dance with people who don't put the work in. Then Vince and I have something to work on. We're doing it for a talent show but we'll probably pull it out at the showcase at the end of the season."

Eric says "do I know the songs you're using?" I say "I'd hope so" chuckling and he says "tell me" smiling. I say "you'll see when I give you a ticket for the showcase if this machine is still running smoothly." I grab my water jug and my keys and go out to my car. I put my phone on my holder and I drive to Vince's house. I say "do you like Scream or Ten Things more?" Eric says "Ten Things all the way" looking down with confusion.

I say "what has you confused, baby?" He says "my physics homework. I just have to think about it more than I would for anything else. I'll do it when we hang up." I smile saying "ok. I'll text you in a bit. I have to go." Ethan says "ok, bye, baby." I say "you're so hot. I'll text you later." I hang up when I get to Vince's house and he gets in saying "hey, you're happy." I say "Eric and I called, I'll tell you about it when we get to class" quietly. When I get inside I say "he's like number one in his class and he's taking AP physics C which is like physics three. He was helping me with my homework."

Vince says "that's nice if him. You're a lost cause when it comes to physics." I say "Veronica even outed me today too, so I went home early." Vince says "that's so gross. Are you still having your revenge arc tonight?" I say "yeah, I gotta message Shawn cause he just messaged me" quietly. I see a message from Shawn saying:

Shawn: hey, no one's home. Want to come to my place tonight?
Me: yeah, I'll be there around 8
Shawn: good. I miss you.
Me: miss you too.
