Austin's POV
My family starts coming into the house and John says "so where are you going to school in the fall?" Eric says "I'm going to Harvard." John says "are you serious?" Eric says "yeah" nodding and John says "ma, pretty boy got into Harvard!" His mom says "that's cool, sweetie. Congratulations, Eric." Aaron walks in the door saying "sorry I'm late y'all, had to do more than I get paid for." We all chuckle and one of my cousins that are younger say "you got into Harvard? Wow looks are deceiving."

I say "if you know mostly ugly people go to Harvard, it's all go in my hood." Eric chuckles saying "you think I need to be with someone as insufferable as myself?" I chuckle saying "I would not want to be friends with you." Eric says "neither would I. It would just be constant competition of who knows more and I don't need that." I say "you just win by a landslide here, you're set now" chuckling.

Eric says "you're good at everything I'm not, Austin. I'm not the greatest at talking to people, I'm not street smart whatsoever, and I am logical but not to the level you are. I know how to memorize textbooks and numbers and facts, but I know very minimal about remotely anything else." I say "I like you" smiling and he says "I like you too." He rubs my sides and my mom comes in saying "you guys are allowed to go. I know y'all have trash to talk about."

My sixteen, seventeen, and barely eighteen year old cousins all look at Eric and I. I say "do you guys wanna go do something?" They all nod wide eyed and we get out to the living room. Eric says "y'all ok with me driving?" My seventeen year old cousin, Cory, the guy most into cars out of the three, says "yeah, you got a sick car." My sixteen year old cousin says "mom?" His mom says "you have a license?" Eric pulls it out of his wallet saying "yes, ma'am" and she looks it over saying "it's up to you, dude " and he says "let's do it" and my oldest cousin in the group says "I'm an adult, I do what I want. Let's get it."

We chuckle and we go out to his car. Eric opens my door for me and Cory says "simp." Eric says "it's called being able to pull. Where's your partner?" I laugh saying "I love you" and Eric says "love you too" shutting my door. My oldest cousin in the car, Nick, says "his ex girlfriend has been trying it with me, so watch out. You might be next, Austin." I chuckle saying "did you do anything with her?" Nick says "no, she's a four and she's mean and not in a funny way. I don't want to be degraded like that."

I laugh saying "wow. Oliver, what's your tea, sweetie?" He says "junior year next year. I want to move to your school. People seem nicer there" sighing and I say "well, this years over and you can go into junior year with a clean slate. Just focus on your work and get out. I know it's hard but you'll pull through." Oliver says "they call me a faggot like three times a day. I'm not even gay, I'm bi for fucks sake."

Cory says "people don't like that shit sometimes. I know the people I hang out with don't. Telling them to stop doesn't change anything, if anything it makes it worse. They all joke about me being gay because I defend the community so much but no, my family comes first and they're gay as fuck, so I'm going to correct them till I graduate." I laugh saying "we really are gay as fuck. Ok, now that we got our feelings out of our system, where are we going?"

Nick says "my mom told me to stop drinking coffee. I'm having withdrawal, let's go to dunkin." I say "sounds fire. Why'd she tell you to stop?" Nick says "you know how my mom is. She's a bit of a health freak when she should just let me be a teenager and let me eat." I say "always forget your mom is essentially an almond mom." Eric puts in some directions and we go to dunkin. Eric shifts up a couple times then down once saying "you all look very similar. It's freaking me out." I say "now you know how I felt when I met your brother."

Eric says "Leo Leo Leo. He's special." Oliver says "you have a brother?" I say "he's too old for you, little boy, shut it down." Nick says "what about me?" I say "if you feel like pushing it with ethicalities." Eric says "my brothers smart in one sense, that he doesn't date younger than twenty five. He also told me that nineteen is the youngest for a one night stand, so good luck I guess." I say "y'all are weird as hell" and Eric pulls into the parking lot. I look at the other car in the parking lot and I say "that looks familiar."

We go in and I say "that's why it's familiar" just stopping in tracks. Eric mumbles "who is that?" I say "Shawn" quietly and he says "ok" and we order our drinks and some munchkins. Shawn stands next to me saying "hey, Austin, my sister is in the bathroom right now. Just a heads up, you stay here and I'll move her out for you." I lean on Eric saying "thanks, Shawn." Shawn says "that's a nice hunk of meat you got there. His brother was real good" winking at us and walking away.

Veronica says "hey, Austin" and Shawn says "don't respond. For once in your god damn forsaken life would you shut up just once? You almost killed him cause you're a petty fucking bitch. Just shut up, man." She says "I'm your sister, you're supposed to be on my side. I can't believe you." Shawn says "I'm not gonna be on your side when you saw someone's brake line in half and out them all in one day. Damn."

They'd leave and Cory says "rough month huh?" I nod saying "all because of her. You're really making an ally out of yourself I'm happy for you" and Cory says "I'm learning. I was a dumbass but I can change. You know how my parents are" chuckling. I say "reasons as to why they aren't allowed in my house anymore." We get our drinks and sit down and Nick says "what are you guys doing tonight?" I say "you seriously want to ask us that question?"
