Austin's POV
We walk down this stupidly long aisle and I mumble "this is like getting married." Vince mumbles "shut up" us being the only people in this line able to keep on count to the music while we talk. I smile and before we part ways, we do our handshake. We get a whistle and a couple yells. We smile and we go and sit down. I mumble "be ready to be here for a while." The guy next to me chuckles mumbling "no kidding."We go through everything really quickly then we get to actually walking the stage. I shake hands with the headmaster, getting my picture taken. Then John is standing on the side of the stage as I walk off. I smile saying "I did it!" I hug him and he says "I'm happy for you, dude." I nod and I go back to my seat. Several hours later we are finally done and we flip our tassels and we walk out. We finally get to go see our people and Vince says "let's see how my brother and Eric got along. I saw them sitting next to each other."
I chuckle saying "this'll be fun." We go over and they're literally comparing forearm sizes. I laugh saying "what are you guys doing?" Vince's brother, Andy, says "his forearms are bigger than mine" with their sleeves rolled up as they flex their forearms by bending their wrists. I chuckle and Eric says "you gotta get the handle gripper things and the gripster finger extension thing. It'll do magic." Vince mumbles "or jerking off twenty four seven." I say "that's a bit excessive."
Vince says "maybe I'll try it?" I laugh saying "don't do that" and Andy says "I hate both of you." I say "I know" and Eric gets up saying "your mom is scary" quietly. I say "aww, are you scared?" He says "no" resting his head on my shoulder. I chuckle saying "let's go talk to the boys." Eric and I go over to John and he says "do you got good food at your house I'm literally starving?" I say "does Aaron not feed you enough? You should bring pizzas to my house." He says "deal, Aaron's mad at me. I should probably go fix that."
I say "I really doubt you did something bad enough to be mad at you." John says "I said I'd do the dishes and I didn't. He was a bit irritated this morning with me, so who the hell knows where my relationship is going to end up." I say "Johnathon, you don't do the dishes all the time. You've been married longer than my parents have been. I doubt he'd be actually mad over dishes. He probably wants something from you. That's what I do to Eric anyway." Eric says "hey!" I chuckle saying "you have nothing to worry about."
Eric says "are you sure?" He puts his hands on his hips and I say "and you do the hip thing when you want something. Come on, we have more people to talk to." We go to the other side of the gym and Aaron says "he says I'm mad at him right?" I say "yeah, you're good at this game." He says "I've been playing this since our first date. He still hasn't learned. It's cute though" and we chuckle. Aaron says "so, any parties tonight?" I say "I cannot tell you that while you wear that uniform." Aaron says "just be responsible, I can't bust a party without proof of alcohol or anything illegal actually happening."
I say "some guy that likes me that graduated today invited us. Tonight I'm planning to go, but haven't told Eric yet." Eric says "I'm down" nodding and I say "fire." Aaron says "just don't do stupid things, but if you do call me first. Remember, designated driver, minimal drinking, always cover your cup, and please go home with the same people you go with." Eric says "I don't drink. Been refusing since age fifteen. Tonight's not gonna be the first night. We'll be ok."
Aaron says "I gotta wait for everyone to clear out of here before I can leave, but John will be at your house in the next half our maybe. Give our take. See if he decides to speed or not." I say "have you ever had to arrest him?" Aaron says "no, but he did get pulled over when we were nineteen I think. It was an interesting time" chuckling. I say "do tell the story."
Aaron says "so basically, I was working at Durham PD for the last couple months or so of training. It was the boring stuff really like working with the databases and whatnot. Processing of arrests. Ya know, stuff like that. Then I was just casually told that I was going to process an arrest, so I was ready to just talk to some dude that got a speeding ticket and can't pay it. Put them through the system like what they look like, general face shape, and why they did what they did. Just the basic stuff I've been doing since I've been there. I did it a few times before, so it wasn't big to me. Just another thing they'd ask an intern to do. Then he walks in and just knows he's in trouble. He's wide eyed and just knows he's fucked" us chuckling.
Aaron says "we laugh about it now but I was so unimpressed because I asked him where he was speeding. His answer was the one place I told him not to because there was this old police officer that was very in his ways. You get fined for anything wrong that happens on that strip that he used to hang out on. Funny guy, but will pull you over if you're more than five over. John drives ten to fifteen over on average. Do as he says, not as he does. Anyway, the dude pulled him over and his ass was dragged right to my desk" shaking his head. Aaron says "broke college boy has to call his mommy to pay his ticket but has too much pride to the point he'd rather just spend a night in jail instead of calling her" making us laugh. I say "my aunt does not care in the slightest. You'll meet her when we get to my house" looking over at Eric.
