Austin's POV
I turn to Eric and I'm a foot and a half away from him. I say "hi" and he says "that better not be your father." I say "oh god no. He's married to my cousin. They both work at my school. I'll never get in trouble at school. It's called the Dean and the Resource Officer." Eric says "didn't take you for a bad boy." I say "since I'm family, I get cursed out by the Dean when I get in trouble instead of just getting a detention. If I did ever get in trouble."

Eric smirks saying "you're so hot." I smile saying "should we get going?" Eric says "probably" chuckling and grabs my hand, pulling me to the passenger side. I smile and he opens the door for me. I look up at him and he says "god, you're so fine" his hand under my chin. I say "maybe we can see how our date goes before you look at me like that anymore." He smiles saying "you're so hot" shaking his head and he starts driving.

He smiles saying "so, how are you?" I smile saying "I'm good, how are you?" He says "come on, I'm serious, baby. I'm not asking for niceties. I'm asking for conversation starter." I say "well, my brake line got cut, almost totaled my car with a thing called a tree, but it's Friday so I didn't have to do homework. Could've been worse I guess." Eric says "Jesus, that's horrible." I say "it's Veronica and now she's being investigated and suspended at the moment."

Eric says "glad something's happening with her I guess?" I say "pretty much" as he shifts gear. This isn't a boy, this is a man. He fucking drives manual. I look at him saying "god, you're so fine." He smirks saying "I hope you can handle yourself" as he shifts again. I say "is this your way of seduction?" Eric chuckles saying "not purposefully, but it certainly helps" leaning back in his seat a bit more. I say "it does" watching his forearm as he drives. I say "how was your day?" Eric says "I went to the gym this morning, went school, left early from study hall cause I'm an honors student. Then a couple of my friends ditched and we went bowling. I came out to them then we went for a run. I ate, I showered, and now I'm here."

I say "how'd coming out go?" Eric says "funny story. I didn't really mean to but they would've found out tonight anyway. I'm gonna say let me finish based on my prior statement cause it sounds weird. I mentioned you and they got curious, so I just came out to them and they were on the fence about going to the movie thing tonight. Everyone goes usually, but they were on the fence. Now that they hear about you, they will definitely be there. I hope you don't mind." I say "I don't care. I told Vince strictly that he wasn't meeting you yet. Veronica would've tried to find an excuse to go with us if I was still friends with her."

Eric says "my friends are like that but not in a weird way like Veronica" shifting up again as the speed limit on the highway changes. Eric says "they don't want to go on the date, but they want to meet you." I say "that's fair. I understand that. I would tell Vince yeah, no way. I gotta feel it out first before I let them at you." Eric says "I get that. What movie are you hoping for tonight?" I say "Ten Things I Hate About You. You can never go wrong with Heath Ledger." Eric says "you really can't. I'm trying to think of ways where it would go wrong but I just cant't."

I chuckle saying "even Brokeback Mountain. Can't go wrong." Eric chuckles saying "I might love Jake Gyllenhaal, more than I love my mom, so we gotta move on before I think about him too much." I giggle saying "you're funny. Tell me what your friends are like." Eric says "Jesse was texting you the other day. He's quite the child but he's fun and we all love him. He's just baby. That's all I can describe him as. Then there's Jeffrey. Jeffrey is dad energy. You need anything, he'll find it for you. He'll fix it for you. Whatever you need, he's got it some how." I smile saying "sounds nice" and we eventually get to the place.

I say "just remember, not my fault if I ship your friends." Eric laughs and he parks saying "you probably will. I've been waiting for years for it to canon." I laugh and we get out. We sit on the trunk of his car then says "that's Jeff" pointing at the biggest truck I've ever seen. I say "wow, I thought I've seen big trucks in New Hampshire country." Eric says "welcome to not city Portland." I say "Portland is considered a city?" Eric says "wait till you meet my family up in central Maine. It's almost middle of nowhere up there."

I say "I casually go to Boston frequently. Define city is essentially what I'm saying." Eric chuckles saying "I'll give you a tour sometime. It's as city as Maine gets." This big buff guy gets out of the drivers seat. He's not like six pack built, he's just big with a Metallica tshirt and shorts. This guy gets out of the passenger seat. Eric says "that's Jesse." I mumble "they so fucked before this." Eric laughs then quietly  says "they did not. Jesse would be done. Would you be alive after being with him?"

I say "you're right. I wouldn't be here or I'd be asleep" chuckling. Jeffrey comes over saying "Eric, how much are you betting that the movies gonna be Scream?" Eric says "nothing, I bet it's gonna be ten things" chuckling. Jeffrey says "that's what Jesse said." The boy comes over and says "Jeff, the demographic of this thing are girls and if we want to get stereotypical it's gonna be the rom com. Especially this year since it's literally a Heath Ledger movie" quietly. Eric says "every year, it's always the rom com that wins." Jeffrey says "I know, I know. I was trying to make some money" us all chuckling.
