Austin's POV
Eric says "howdy, grandpa! How you doing?!" His grandfather says "I'm good how are you?" Eric says "I'm good, I'm on my way up to see you. Up on the farm." His grandfather says "that's great, let me put your grandmother on. I'll forget what you say as soon as we hang up." Eric chuckles saying "ok." He says "one last thing, would you want to mow my lawn when you get up here?" Eric chuckles saying "sure" and then his grandmother says "hello, dear."

Eric says "hi, Grammy, I'm on my way up. Do you need me to pick up anything at the store for you?" She says "I'm alright, Eric. Thank you though. Did grandpa ask you to mow the lawn?" Eric says "yeah, it won't take me long." She says "so, what's your reasoning for coming to see me?" Eric says "Grammy, I'm up here every other week. I guess my reason is to mow your lawn." She chuckles saying "Eric, I can hear it in your voice that you have another reason. What is it?"

Eric says "well, I wanted everyone up north to meet my boyfriend. So he's with me while I make the rounds." She says "that's so sweet, I'm so excited to meet him. Is he nice?" Eric says "he's a sweetheart, grammy. You'll love him." She says "well, I love you and I'll see you in a couple hours?" Eric says "yeah, I love you too" me hanging up for him. He says "that's the easiest one. I don't know how these other ones are gonna go."

I say "you've never brought a boy around have you?" He says "nope" and I chuckle saying "I'm here for you" kissing his cheek. He then tells me who to call and a woman picks up saying "hey, Eric!" He says "aunt Jen, how are you?" She says "good, are you coming to see me?" Eric says "I'm hitting Topsham right now, so I'm about an hour and a half from you. I'm going to see gram first and before that I might get some food but I'll be up." She says "alright, I got you something for your dorm. You'll have to check it out when you get here." Eric says "that's half the reason I'm coming up."

She says "what's the other half?" Eric says "well, I want the rest of the family to meet my boyfriend." She says "well, I'm so excited. I'll see you guys then" and I can here the smile through the phone. Eric says "alright, I'll see you in a few hours." She says "yup, see you then" and he hangs up. Eric says "I'll text my friends tonight. I don't need to see them but it would be nice to." I smile and I say "see, all figured out." Eric says "want pizza?" I say "mmm, yeah. I'm so hungry."

We go to Portland Pie when we get more into Central Maine. Eric says "I think we're gonna get in today" and I say "awesome. I've been starved." Eric says "I'll feed you" me resting my head on his shoulder. He parks and kisses my forehead then we go in. We get pizza and I say "you're right, this shit is top tier. I love you so much." Eric mumbles "am I being cucked by you and pizza right now?" I say "maybe. Do you like watching it?"

Eric giggles saying "yes, I do" smiling and we finish eating then we get back in the car. I say "you were right, that was good" resting my head on his shoulder. He says "we're almost there" and drives ten over the speed limit and I say "you really weren't kidding when you said there was nothing up here." Eric chuckles saying "I know. There's nothing. You drive past here, you get even more nothing like when I went or Canada, there was really nothing. No cars for miles."

I say "you can get to Canada from here?" Eric says "yeah, you can keep driving up the highway, drive over west then there's the Canadian boarder. Or you can go through the middle of nowhere and hit the boarder. If you get carsick that route isn't fun" as he gets off the highway. Eric shifts down saying "I forget how much I hate driving this car for a long period of time." I chuckle saying "sweetie, you already pulled me. You don't need to drive this all the time" and we chuckle. Eric says "I haven't learned my lesson yet." I rest my head on his shoulder saying "I don't think I've seen so many trees in one place."

Eric chuckles saying "welcome to the pine tree state" and about twenty minutes later he pulls into a driveway. We go inside and Eric says "Grammy, did you make cookies for me?" The very nice looking lady says "of course I did, Eric. I needed something to do this morning" hugging him and she says "you are so cute, how are you, sweetie?" She hugs me and I say "I'm good, ma'am, how are you?" She says "you're so cute, I could just squeeze you."

Her and I chuckle and Eric's grandfather comes in saying "hey, boys. I'm Paul" and he shakes my hand when I say "I'm Austin." Paul says "come check out my new mower, Eric" and I chuckle and Eric looks at me. I say "I'm ok" chuckling and he says "ok" kissing my cheek and he goes out talking about this lawnmower. His grandmother says "I'm Marie. Can I get you some tea or coffee? Water?" I say "I'll have some water please" smiling and she says "ok, what did Eric tell you about me?"

I say "he said you'd be the least of my worries out of all the family up here." She chuckles saying "good, let's try to keep it that way. I don't understand his fascination with vehicles or anything. It's good for me but I don't understand any of it." I say "I know where Eric gets it from now. I mean, it's pretty attractive when someone knows how to do that kind of stuff. I have to be honest with you" chuckling. She says "it is though" handing me a glass of water and sitting at the kitchen table with me.
