Tristan left and for the first time in days, I decided to stand up from my bed to go downstairs and look for a snack. I had been having awful stomach aches due to the limited intake of food and water, but just couldn't get myself to prepare something.
I was standing in the kitchen and grabbed a biscuit, realising how much it actually hurt that my parents hadn't even checked up on me. I didn't expect my father to come to me, but usually my mother would...
I sighed deeply and grabbed the biscuit, slowly taking a bite out of it. The taste made me regain some of the hunger feeling I lost, and I decided to grab another biscuit to eat before I went back to bed.
However, suddenly I heard someone clear his throat. I gasped because it made me get startled for some reason and turned around to see who was in front of me. The person, being my dad, had a weird look in his eyes, one I barely recognised.
!! physical (child) abuse !!
'Hi, I was taking some food,' I said, smiling at him. I walked towards him to go back to the stairs, but suddenly, he grabbed my shoulders and pushed me against the wall. I hitched my breath as my back started to sting from the impact.
'I thought you were the perfect son, but I guess I was wrong and I have two failures of sons. I knew I should have aborted both of you, but I thought, maybe the second wouldn't be as bad as the first.'
'What have I done?' I whispered, the look in his eyes turning to nothing but hate.
'You tell me,' he demanded, his nails piercing the skin of my shoulders. 'You know what I mean, Elliot. I know I should have never let Tristan into the house, but I'm glad I've got to see what type of person you are...'
I felt heat rush to my face as I understood what he meant. He saw me kissing Tristan, or at least heard our conversations. This was honestly the last thing I wanted to happen, but apparently my life had to get even worse...
Suddenly, he lost his composure and just like he always did to Clay, I felt his fist hit my face. I wasn't used to the pain like Clay always said and screeched as his knee lifted up into my genitals.
I curled up and fell down to the floor, my father kicking me over and over, until I started to scream for forgiveness. However, he wasn't done and knelt down in front of me.
'You told your little friend about what an awful person I am, didn't you? Do you think you're going to get away with that? I don't need a faggot like you in my house, who can't even shut his mouth to his friends.'
My eyes rolled away as he suddenly kicked me against my face with shoes on. My jaw was abruptly shut, my tongue between my teeth. I immediately felt blood fill up my mouth and slowly started to give up the fight, but then, I saw Clay run into the room.
!! over (still mentions) !!
He didn't even hesitate for a second and ran up to my dad, pushing him away from me with such a force that he was taken aback and looked at Clay. 'Oh, you're going to regret that.'
'Leave Elliot alone or I'll kill you,' he said with a low voice. 'And by the way, I told two people as well, it was getting a bit obvious that I had bruises all the time, don't you think?'
He moved his hand to his back and started to sign for me to leave. I didn't want to leave him alone in this situation, but knew we would both get in danger if I didn't leave. Instead, I grabbed my phone as I ran to the bathroom, the only door that I could lock from the inside.
'Tris, help me,' I whispered with a lisp as soon as Tristan picked up the call I decided to make. 'I need help, really quick.'
'Okay, try to breathe calmly and explain what happened, so I know if I have to come alone or with my parents.'
'My father found out about us and he beat me up. Clay stood up for me and told me to leave, but he's alone with my father right now and had too much attitude for my dad's liking. I'm afraid he's going to beat him to death, but I don't know what to do. I'm in so much pain, Tris. Help us...'
I heard Tristan grab some stuff and then run down the stairs. 'Mom, I need your help right now. I know I'm not allowed to tell them, but I need to, Elliot.'
'As long as they don't... take me away from here,' I begged, but I knew the police would be called soon enough.
'Sweetheart, what's wrong? Who are you talking to and why are you crying?' I heard Tristan's mother ask, which made me feel like I got stabbed in my heart when I realised he was crying because of me.
'Please, allow me to tell them...' he whispered, the hopelessness in his voice making me mumble softly to give him permission.
'Mom, you have to get Clay and Elliot away from home,' he stumbled. 'Their father is abusive and it's escalating. I don't know what to do, please help.'
'Tristan, stay calm,' I muttered in the hope he wouldn't start panicking more than he had already done about his own stuff. 'I just have to get away from here as quick as I can because I know my father is going to get more and more angry.'
'We are coming to you,' he said with a rushed voice. 'Can you try to stay on the phone so you can update me about the situation? Are you safe right now?'
'I ran to my room, but I'm in quite some pain, Tris,' I whispered with tears stinging in my eyes. 'I can hear Clay scream, I'm so scared.'
I stayed quiet for a while to listen to the voice downstairs, but it was clear Clay was being beaten worse than he had ever been before. It triggered me so badly that I began to sob softly, and eventually started to cry.
'Help me, please,' I begged, but then I heard the door slam shut louder than ever before. 'Someone left... I don't know who did.'
'We are almost there, hold on for a little bit longer,' Tristan told me. 'I love you, I'll take care of you.'
