Luke's POV

We made it to the festival, and let's just say they outdone themselves this year. Everything seemed so festive and bright as we walked in. Me, Alex, and Reggie were walking around the festival seeing different acts on stage while also looking for a place to put our instruments in. While we were looking, I saw someone I would not see or talk to again.

???: Well, look what we have here. It's Sunset Swerve.

Reggie: IT'S SUNSET CURVE!

Alex: He knows that, Reg.

Luke: What do you want, Bobby?

Bobby: Well, since you ask so nicely, Luke. My band and I were just checking out the competition, and we don't see anyone worth competing. But I guess you guys will have to do it, considering how your dad won't let you play.

Let's hit pause here. You're probably wondering who this guy is. Well, to answer your question, this is Bobby Wilson. Son of famed singer Trevor Wilson and twin brother of Carrie Wilson. And was an ex-bandmate and friend to us.

He was our best friend for years until he started getting more hungry for fame and blamed me for ruining our chances of fame. He was getting fed up with it and quit the band. Honestly, it was the best decision of his life because after the way he treated us, he didn't deserve to be in the band.

It was hard at first to get used to us not having our rhythm guitarist, but we were back to our feet, and the band was better than ever with the new change.

Now, let's get back to the conversation.

Bobby: Well, anyway, we better get going if we are going to get that record deal.

He started walking away with his so-called band until he turned around.

Bobby: Oh, and by the way, Luke, I hope your dad sends you to boot camp when he catches you. Oh wait, you're already living in one.

He starts laughing and walks away. I wanted to punch that stupid grin off his face. After all, I have gotten stronger after training.

Alex: He's not worth it.

Reggie: Yeah, we should probably go.

Luke: You guys go, I'll catch up.

Reggie: Where are you going?

Luke: I'm just going to look around.

Alex: Okay, don't do anything stupid.

Luke: Come on, have some trust in me.

Alex: That's what I'm afraid of.

I started walking around the festival until I heard a faint melody coming from the distance. It sounded like singing. I came toward the melody to an abandoned booth with the curtains closed. I slowly opened one of them, peeked inside, and saw a girl sitting on the bench with her back facing me.

She was playing a song I didn't recognize, but what caught my attention was when she started singing.

I just got to say that she has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard.

Julie's POV

I never thought Flynn and I would get past the guards, but we did. Turns out that Flynn had a secret exit through the kitchen, and we made our way here to the festival without anyone finding out.

Flynn linked her arm to mine, and we started walking around the festival. It's so beautiful looking at everything. There are so many bands, instruments, even Ms. Harrison is here performing with her sisters on stage.
