Julie's POV

After Caleb left my room, I couldn't stop crying after what he had just told me. He wants me to marry him! Like I'm going to do that!

I can't marry him. One, he's crazy and too old for me. Two, if I marry him, that'll mean that he can also rule Valdronia and possibly kill my father. And three, I don't know if Luke will be here in time to stop him.

I have to find a way to get out of here.

But bad news, this place has guards all over. It'll be impossible to get out. The only way for me to get out is...

???: Your Majesty, I've got your food!

Bingo!

Julie: Come in!

The maids walked in with a tray of food for me and smiled up at me. Since I first stayed here, the maids have treated me nothing but kindness.

Maid #1: Here is your lunch, Your Majesty.

Maid #2: And your cup of tea.

Julie: Thank you.

Maid #1: Is there anything else you will like?

Julie: Actually, I was hoping you would help me.

Maid #2: Whatever for your Highness.

Julie: I was hoping you could help me escape. I have a plan, but I need your help with it.

Maids: Okay, what is it?

*An hour later*

Maid #2: THE PRINCESS HAS ESCAPED!

The guards ran over to her while the other maid was pushing the cart of untouch food. What everyone didn't know was that I was in the cart trying to change in maid clothing. I don't know how people did it in the movies. It was so uncomfortable.

Anyway, once the coast was clear, I made sure no one was around for me to get out of the cart. Once there was no one here, I got out.

Maid: Are you okay?

Julie: I am now.

Maid: Now remember, princess, once we make it to the stables, you have to find the brown and white horse and ride it till you reach your friends. Don't look back, and don't ever stop.

Julie: Thank you so much. I will never forget your kindness.

Maid: It's no problem, your majesty. I understand how it feels to feel trapped and want to get out. You should be at home with your father.

Julie: Yeah, I know.

I reached my hand over to where my bracelet was, but I then realized that it was gone. Caleb must have taken it away when he found out that I've been contacting Luke.

Julie: My bracelet! Caleb must have taken it!

Maid: You have to forget about it, Princess. You need to get out of here.

Julie: But if I don't have my bracelet, I can't contact my friends where I am. I need to get it back.

Maid: Well, the only place where it would be is the King's study. But it's the opposite direction from the stables.

Julie: Please, ma'am. I need it back.

I noticed how she looked at me. I can tell she was scared, not because of Caleb but for herself too. Doing this could lead to treason for her, and who knows what punishment she'll have to face. All the more reason to stop Caleb before more innocent lives get hurt.

She took a deep breath and grabbed a hold on my hand. She was leading me to Caleb's study, and to say the least, I was scared, too. Who knows what Caleb has in there. Maybe even boobytraps.
