Chapter 38 (Final)

Hey guys, this is it. The final chapter. I'm so sad that this story is coming to an end. But as the saying goes, good things must come to an end. I would like to thank everyone who has read this chapter and the comments. I would also like to thank Spopas7 for helping me with this book.

Julie's POV

Everything felt like I was sinking like I went to bed and never woke up. I was lying on the bed in the dungeon where Caleb brought me, and I tried so hard to wake up. In the distance, I kept hearing noises and cranking and heard the door open. My eyes opened to see two familiar figures standing in front of me. I blacked out again but felt arms wrapped around me.

Everything was muffled. I couldn't hear anything. The next thing I knew, I was lying down on a bed of grass. Did one of Caleb's bring me here to kill me? I don't want to die, I haven't seen Luke in so long.

I felt another pair of arms around my waist, and I tried to open my eyes to see who it was. This person made me feel safe all of a sudden like I knew him. Squinting my eyes to see who this guy was, he almost looked like Luke.

He was muttering something to me, but I couldn't hear it. I felt I was on top of something, and the arms of my savior tightened. That's when I lost consciousness.

A WEEK LATER

I felt the sunshine on my face, and I was moving on what seemed like a bed. I opened my eyes, just a little bit, and I saw a man walking over to me with some tools in his hands. He was coming closer and closer. I didn't know what to do, and I just punched him in the face.

Everything was getting clearer, and with my vision being cleared, I realized I just punched a doctor. I felt arms around me again and pulled back into bed gently.

I looked up and saw Luke standing over me.

Julie: Luke?

Luke: Hey, Jules.

Tears began to form around my eyes, and I wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him as tight as I could. He hugged me back, and I was so relieved that he was okay. That he was alive. I pulled away from him, grabbed his face, and smashed my lips against his. I could tell he was shocked at first, but he kissed me back instantly.

It felt so good kissing him again. I missed him so much, and I was so worried about him. I pulled away from him and leaned my forehead against his.

Luke: I guess you missed me then.

We both chuckled and I couldn't stop staring at him.

Julie: I did.

Behind us, we heard a groan and it was the doctor. He was swearing quietly because of the pain.

Doctor: I think you broke my nose, your Highness.

Julie: I'm so sorry about that.

Doctor: It's alright. I'll just go get a nurse to check you out. Oww.

He left, and I looked around the room and noticed a familiar crest on the banner hanging from the wall. It looked like her family's.

Julie: Where are we?

Luke: We're back home.

Julie: We're back in Valdronia?

Luke: Yeah, we are. Do you want me to get your dad?
