Chapter 37

Narrator's POV

They were surrounded.

Weapons were out, and the gang had no choice but to fight their way out. They are going to get to Julie, no matter what the cause.

Onyx: Attack!

The gang members screamed and ran towards them. Luke grabbed his sword and started defending himself against the thieves. All the thieves pulled out their swords, and some of them are using hand to hand combat. Onyx was running towards Luke, not noticing who was after him, but before Onyx could make a move, he was pushed down with incredible force.

He looked up and saw Captain Mitchell standing above him with his sword drawn out.

Mitch: Stay away from my son!

Both the Captain and the Gang Leader battled with each other. Swords clashed against each other, and words were shared in pure hatred. Old friends turned to enemies, clashing it out on the battlefield. It's been too long since they faced each other, and now it's going to be the last time they will fight each other.

Luke and the gang fought with other members of the thieves, all of them trying to survive.

Before they came to Elorerin, they were given a device to let them communicate. It was sewed on in their clothes to make sure that no one was able to get them.

The Captain could see that Willie and Flynn had defeated the men attacking them. They looked his way and saw that the Captain gave them a nod. Mitchell reached up to the collar of his shirt and pressed the button to let him communicate with his teammates.

Mitch: Willie, Flynn, go inside the castle and find the princess. Do whatever it takes to get her.

W and F: On it!

They begin running towards the castle, successfully dodging the bullets and punches of nearby thieves.

As they were running, Luke saw them. Running towards the castle. Luke didn't know why they were running away from the fight. But it became clear why they're going to the castle.

Julie's there.

After knocking out the gang member out, he was about to run with them until he heard his comlink go off.

Mitch: Luke, you have to stay and help us! They got this.

Luke: But I need to see Julie!

Mitch: You will! But right now, we need your help. Argghh!

Luke looked towards his father and saw that he was struggling. He looked at his friends who were running to the castle. He could finally see Julie after weeks, but he can't lose his father. So, he ran towards his father, drew out his sword, and began helping him.

Both father and son, fighting against the man who have been the prodigal of their nightmares. Onyx was fast, but Luke was faster, and he managed to do a spin kick while Onyx was distracted by his dad.

Onyx was on the floor, at the mercy of both Pattersons. He knew he was done for, but he still has one trick up his sleeve.

Mitch: It's over, Onyx!

Onyx: Is it?

He threw a smoke bomb at both of them. Both Pattersons were coughing and stood together as one. Without noticing, Onyx was behind Luke's back, completely unaware of the danger he's in, and before he could strike him.

He felt a pain through his abdomen.

Onyx looked down and saw a sword in him. He turned his head slowly and saw his old friend with an angered look.
