The Broken Child (Lumity)

Chapter 12

Luz's POV:

It was midnight on Saturday. The group sat at the base, all confused as Amity, Xenos and I with a few others had injury's, as Odalia say in the corner, unconscious, while a blond haired dude stood in the corner. We got the plans but at what cost. Let me go back a bit

-Friday, 5pm-

Amity and I walked into the gaming room of the base. We had just finished our Grudgby practice, so we were slight tired

We already saw Zira, Xenos, Willow and Boscha sitting there

"Yo, Zira. Do you ever leave this base" I asked

They turned around, drinking what looked like a second can of coke "Nah. I leave on the weekends, but I got my dad to design it so you don't ever need not want to leave" they tossed the can to the side and jumped over the counter

"Want anything to drink?" They asked

"I saw you drinking a coke, and I haven't had that in a while so I'll go with that" I said as they slid one over

"What about you, greenie?" They asked

Amity rolled her eyes at that name but continued "I'll go with apple blood"

"Alrighty, here you go" they tossed it over

I looked over to see the others  already had a beverage.  Soon enough, the twins came in. Then Gus and Matt

"Okay, now that everyone is here, I need you to put these on" Zira pressed a button behind the counter making a rack of suits and dresses come out "they're all designed for fighting, so worst case scenario, you'll need that. But also, here"

They slid some sort of case over. It contained bullet proof vests

"Put that on underneath your suits. Go change in the bedrooms downstairs, but Luz, before you go, here. You'll need this" they handed me a ring. Apparently it could change into a bat on command when needed

I thanked them and made my way downstairs, changed, and came back up

"Lookin' snazzy" Edric complimented us, wearing a camo outfit, along with Emira

I was wearing a black suit, Amity was wearing black dress and Xenos was also wearing a black suit

They were easy to move around in and were made out of a comfortable material

"Oh, and here" Zira passed as all a pair of sunglasses "this should allow us to see what you see and hear too. It should scan for any threats as well. Now, you guys make your way over to the party while we watch from the camera's. Good luck" The group disappeared down below to where I assumed was the hacking room. We then all made our way outside the school and saw a carriage waiting there for us

We soon got to the Blight manor, bright lights blaring into the dark night sky from the inside. Ed an Em hopped out a while ago so it was just Amity, Xenos and I

Amity stood in between Xenos and I as we entered

"You guys remember the plan, right?" We heard Zira speak from the sunglasses

"Yeah. Distract Odalia and Alador whilst Amity goes into the basement to grab the files" I said

"Alright. We only have one chance. You got this, over"

"Ready, guys?" Xenos asked

"Yeah. Let's do this" Amity said as we stepped inside

Inside there were many people, it was full of business people, rich people and important people
