Luz's POV:
We spent the rest of the week trying to figure out how King's blood was connected to the portal, and how to use it so it didn't blow up the entire Isles
Eda, Alador, King, and I often went exploring the Isles, the caves, and every different part for information. We even found ourselves sneaking around the Emperor's Castle or even the restricted area of the library from time to time trying to gather ancient books that coul tell us something. Anything
Eventually, we found a single book. One based entirely off Titans. It stated that
"To make a portal to other Realms, you need the blood of a Titan, which can be radioactive and dangerous if used incorrectly...." Alador read as we turned to King
"King...are you...a Titan?" I asked him. He sighed and was about to speak before Eda responded instead
"Yeah. Yeah he is. We figured it out a couple years back, but kept it from the Emperor. Along with the actual working portal because we didn't trust him" Alador and I looked at Eda in surprise but quickly shook it off as we didn't have time to be shocked, Alador going back to the book
"To create a portal, you will need a vial of Titans blood, then you will need all 4 glyphs, the language of any Titan, and place it underneath the blood of the Titan, using any material, then, the power of the child of the stars or a star to pull it together. The portal will last 100 years before fading, and will need to be built again" He finished
"Well at least we know what to do now, but King, is it really okay to use your blood?" I asked him, Alador turning towards him with his same fatherly instinct
"I mean, the Emperor is counting on you guys, so I suppose so. Besides, I can just regenerate my blood" King nervously stated. And just like that, we began working
------------------------------------------------------------
Over the next week, we experimented, practicing, but not using the blood yet. King had given us 2 vials, and since he was a child, that was all he could give without harming himself. We practiced on the knee continuously, only going back to sleep on Hooty as both Alador and I figured out, we could only sleep properly and without nightmares when sleeping on him. Hopefully that would change when we went to the human realmFinally, after 2 weeks of practice, the Emperor stood in front of us, along with the entirety of the Isles, putting pressure on our shoulders and looking at us expectantly. But at least I had Alador and he had me. The Hexsquad, who we invited to come with, stood watching nervously. Especially Amity, who I hadn't seen in weeks due to how busy I was. And I knew I'd get scolded for it once we were in the human realm
As instructed, I told everyone coming with to cover their ears or use an illusion spell, and they did just that
Alador and I started working on the portal, placing down the 4 glyphs in the middle of the large gate, before pouring the vial of Titan's blood onto it. It shimmered a gold color for a moment, and that meant it was time to use our power. We stood in front, holding one hand out each and concentrating. After a few seconds, we clicked our fingers in sync, and almost immediately, a golden beam shot into the air, but this time, the power of the glyphs and the power we had contained it, forming it into a blue and gold portal, unlike the one Eda had
"Well done" Emperor Belos spoke "Now to test if it works"
"Since I know the human realm the best, I'll go first" I volunteered, about to step in before Amity grabbed my hand, holding it gently with an expression that said "You don't have to do this alone". Suddenly, I felt Gus, Willow, Boscha, and Hunter, either hold my shoulder or hook onto my arm, supporting me, and a small smile crept onto my face, a single thought in my mind
