Chapter 22

Luz's POV:

It's been round about a week since we've come back from taking Odalia down, and since then, everyone on the Isles called the Hexsquad and Alador "Saviors" or "Protecters of the Isles"

I mean, we did stop Odalia from bringing fear upon the Isles and taking down Belos, so I see where they're coming from

But soon enough, Eda caught wind of my actions, and I had an angry old witch banging on my dorm room door at 2pm (we were granted a week off to relax) and I sadly had to get Amity off my lap, cutting our make out session short as I went to go open the door

I grumpily walked towards the door, wondering who it could be. At first, I thought it was Boscha or Willow wanting to bother me or Amity for something, but the moment I opened the door and was met with a very pissed off grey haired witch, I knew there were slim chances of my survival

"YOU!" Eda exclaimed, grabbing my ear and dragging me inside the room

"Owwwww, Eda, my earrrr" I whined, trying to keep up with her

She pulled me towards the couch and pointed at it "Sit" She ordered as I instantly complied, Amity simply watching in the background as she summoned a bucket of popcorn

"Mind telling me why you said absolutely nothing about this mission and practically forgot about me?" Eda asked with an oddly strict tone as I rubbed my ear

"It all happened so fast, I didn't have time to tell you" I tried explaining, ignoring Amity's popcorn eating in the corner

"Kid, I made a vow to protect you when you came to this realm, but how am I supposed to do that when you almost kill yourself on a mission given by the Emperor that you didn't even talk to me about?" Eda continued to scold

"Hey, I mean on the bright side, I do have these really cool powers and abilities now" I gave a nervous smile, lifting up my hand and summoning a few lighting bolts to sizzle around it

Eda pinched the bridge of her nose, sighing before speakingup again, "You're so reckless for your age.....Just like me! Up 5!" Eda raised her hand, a proud smile on her face as I gave her a high five, getting rid of the lighting so I didn't accidentally shock her

"Baby's first rebel. I'm so proud" Eda wiped a tear from her ear before sitting down in between Amity and I, grabbing Amitys popcorn bucket too "So, tell me what happened on this trip of yours to take down Odalia"

"Hey!" Amity complained about her popcorn

"Shut it, greenie. I'm listening" Eda stated, putting a finger over Amity's lips before chucking some popcorn in her mouth. Amity rolled her eyes and sat back on the couch. I chuckled at the mini feud before starting to explain from the time I met Xenos and Zira to us blowing up the factory with Alador and I's newfound power before heading back, Eda making comments here and there

"I gotta admit, that's way better than being stuck in this hell hole called a school. Still don't know why you chose it over training with me, but anyway. It seems like you need help controlling this new power, don't ya?" Eda asked, shoving the rest of the popcorn back at Amity and standing up "And who better to go to for help than the strongest witch on the entire isles!"  She stated, standing proudly with her hands on her hips

"You make a good point, but for now I'm just relaxing and taking some time off until Belos decides he needs my help again. But, I'll think about it" I responded

"You better" Eda smiled, ruffling my hair "Anyways, it's been nice visiting you kid, but I gotta get back to King and Hooty before they both realize I'm not there"

Eda summoned her staff, Owlbert hooting before hopping on it "See ya, kid!" Eda yelled before jumping out the window, getting on Owlbert and flying off

I laughed before standing up. "I'm gonna go for a walk around the Isles. Wanna come?"
