Luz's POV:

I woke up, feeling happier than usual. Then I realized it was a Sunday. Ugh

"NOCEDA!" I heard Amity yell

"WHAT IS IT, BLIGHT?!" I yelled back

"GET YOUR ASS OUT OF BED AND COME HERE!"

"FUCK YOU!"

"WHEN?"

I felt my face heat up at that, but quickly pushed it down and got out my room

I walk into the lounge and saw Amity sitting with her legs over the armrest lying on the couch

She was on her scroll until she noticed me and put it away

"I request a boon" she said

"Who the fuck still says 'boon'?" I asked

"Whatever. In any case I want you to make me some pancakes"

"A 'please' would be nice"

She rolled her eyes "please can you make me some pancakes?"

"Fine" I said, walking to the kitchen before I got an idea
"Hey, Blight. Why don't you make the pancakes?"

"But I don't know how?"

"Exactly " I said, making finger guns "I can teach you! That way, when you want some and I'm not here, you can make them instead"

She thought about it for a while "deal"

We got to business. I told her everything she needed:
Griffin eggs
Herch hacksaw flour
Screaming sugar
Dint baking powder
Griffin milk

She got everything and placed it on the counter grabbing a few bowls, whisks and spoons as well

[I haven't made pancakes in a while, so don't trust this method. Like at all]

"Alright, so first, mix the eggs and milk together" I said, putting a spoon of cereal in my mouth

Once she did that, she mixed all the dry ingredients together

"Well done. I didn't have to tell you to mix them separately. Okay, now add them together and mix"

She mixed them together making a smooth batter

"Ggggurgrgekkkk" I gurgled, drinking the last of the milk in my bowl "ah. Anyway, what I said was put the stove onto medium"

She lit up her finger, making a small purple flame erupt on the tip of her finger. She brought it to the stove and it lit up, as she slowly lowered it then she placed the pan on it. What impressed me was that she buttered the pan beforehand

"Well done, Blight. Anyway, this is where the fun begins" I got out a second pan and buttered it, putting it on a flame "now, copy me"

I poured some batter into the pan and let it sizzle for a bit before taking a spatula and flipping it over, making a perfect golden-brown circle

I flipped it once more then took it out the pan and placed it on the plate

"See? Easy. You try" I said

She poured some batter into the pan and waiter a bit before flipping it. It flopped. She tried again before getting slightly frustrated

"Hold on, lemme help you" I went behind her and gently held her wrists. She flinched but didn't say anything

I helped her flip the pancake, and it came out better than before

"See?" I said, stepping back "slice of cake"
