(Y/n)'s POV:

I controlled the Big Boi suit as Luz called it and made my way out the base with the other two manning the weaponry

"What are we gonna do about Luz?" Boscha called

"I don't know. We're going to have to come back and save her" I said. The rest of the trip was silent as we flew back to base. The suit had an underwater feature and fit perfectly through the tube. I got Matt to make a hole in the ground where we put the suit and went into our base

We entered and I saw what I dreaded the most....

... Amity was awake...

And so was Edric, but that's not really important right now

Amity looked up at us and smiled "welcome back guys! What did you...." Her smile faded and her face darkened

"Where's Luz?"

"Amity. Luz was captured by Odalia. She sacrificed herself to let us escape" I explained, my head low

"And that giant robot you brought in? Couldn't you have use that to save her?" Amity pointed out

"I... Didn't think of that... Sorry..." I said

"Well sorry isn't going to fix anything! Luz could be fucking dead because you didn't think of a better plan! What kind of a leader are you?!"

I flinched, remembering my fear of arguments and took a step back, feeling a panic attack rising as I rubbed my arm

"I-I didn't do it on purpose... I just thought that I could handle it later on and-"

"Handle it later on?! There might not even be anything to go after later on! Don't you understand how dangerous Odalia is?!" Amity yelled

My anxiety rose as I answered
"Y-yes, I do, it's just that Odalia could use her in future plans, s-so there's still a chance we could save her"

"That's not good enough! Odalia is a fucking indecisive bitch who doesn't understand what she wants half the time! How the fuck are you the Emperor's child when you're so fucking stupid?!"

I flinched again as a tear ran down my face. I was about to respond before Boscha did it for me

"That's enough Amity. I know you're angry we lost Luz but Zira's still just a kid. You can't rely on them 24/7. Yes, they are the Emperor's child, but they're only 14. Give them a break"

"Yeah. And on top of that, they have the burden of the entire team on their shoulders. So sit down, and breathe. We'll think of a plan. Zira, you need to take a br-" Willow turned towards me but I was already gone. I made my way over to the smithy and drew a spell circle with my glove, making a small are uncover, where I had spent the day yesterday designing it

It was small yet cozy. It had a small stone bed, with two stone chairs. It was lighted up with light spells and had a small fireplace in the corner to keep the room warm. Above the fireplace, there was a painting of me and my father. It was taken a few years ago when I was 12. I had killed 3 slither beasts and taken down grom in one week. I had even managed to take down the best fighter on the team, Lilith, with ease. An that's what Hunter had struggled to do

Belos was proud of me that day. And he rarely was

"I'm sorry, father... I've failed you... Again..."

Suddenly a memory popped into my brain from 4 years ago. One that I had tried holding back but failed

~flashback~

I followed Hunter out the castle. He was 16 at the time and known as the Golden Guard. Everyone on the Isles loved him. And so did I. He was the best cousin anyone could ask for. Almost like a brother to me
