Chapter 19

3rd person POV:

Numbness

That's all Amity felt

Her girlfriend and father had been mind controlled by her own mother, she blamed everything on a 14 year old kid who had a lot of weight on their shoulders, and now they were badly injured, the tension was bad around the base, everyone was either injured, stressed or too worried to do anything

It was all her fault

She wanted to march to the base and get her girlfriend and father back but she didn't want to copy Zira's movements and end up endangered

The poor kid. They had been through so much

Amity pushed her out of anger

And she hated that

She repeated her mother's moves

Just like how her mother forced her to break the friendship with Willow out of anger

She was supposed to be strong

They were all supposed to be strong

Yet look at them

Running around in panic because they feared the location of their base would be found

Relying on a 14 year old kid who was badly injured

And fighting an ugly ass looking green-headed 47 year old with a hairline that gives Zimbabwe

As the team ran from room to room, she saw one person standing over Zira's unconscious body...that would've looked normal if not for the unsettling smile on their face

Amity blinked and soon it was gone as Xenos turned towards the others an expression of worry now on her face. It must've just been her imagination, right?

The base had calmed down as they now hoisted a meeting

"So" Willow started "We lost Luz. Our strongest yet youngest member is badly injured and our only shot at winning, the suit, has been lost...what now?"

"We could try contact Belos?" Boscha suggested

"No. Belos can't do anything since we're in a different country and it would start a war" Hunter pointed out

"So this is all up to us then?" Gus asked

"Yeah... and we barely have a shot at winning..." Hunter replied

Amity thought for a while as a silence settled over the room
"How bad is Zira's injury?"

"Pretty bad. They're in coma and since there's no one who knows healing spells that high and it's too risky to go get help we have to let them heal naturally" Xenos said

Amity still had an off feeling about her but she shook it off as nerves
"Are our suits still functional?"

"The ones Zira gave us? Yeah. Those things are strong" Matt stated

"Then I have a plan"

Amity's POV:

Once we suited up and switched on the invisibility, we left Edric and Xenos back at the base as we head over to the base my mother was working at

We climbed up to the top window as Boscha used some type of potion to see better

"5 guys guarding the door. All looking very well trained. Looks like they upped the security" She said
