Chapter 23

Luz's POV:

I sat up in my dorm bed, being careful not to disturb the youngest green-headed Blight next to me. It was weird that I woke up before her, but its been happening ever since I got these new powers. I climbed out of bed, moving towards the kitchen to make some pancakes

It was Saturday. The day I needed to visit Belos for whatever he had in store for me and Alador. I shrugged it off and started making Amity's favorite breakfast

I placed the first two pancakes on the plate, knowing she'd be up in 3...2...1-

"ARE THOSE PANCAKES I SMELL?!" I heard Amity yell, charging out from the bedroom, into the kitchen, about to grab a pancake before I placed a hand on her head and stopped her

"Nope, wait until they're done" I chuckled, flipping the next one. I saw her pout in the corner of my eye, and rolled my eyes "They're almost done, Blight. Be patient"

"Whatever Noceda" She stated moving over to the lounge

I sighed, amused before finishing up the pancakes and levitating the plate over to her, then moving towards my room to get a fresh pair of clothes, then towards the shower

"Where you off to, Noceda?" Amity asked, her mouth stuffed with pancakes. It was rare to see her so inelegant, but I found it cute nonetheless

"Belos wanted to speak to Alador and I about our powers or something. You can come with if you want?" I offered, not really waiting for a response and walking into the bathroom

I looked at myself and the mirror for a moment and I noticed some things. First off, I was taller. 6'1 to be specific. The scar on my arm had completely gone, and when I lifted up my shirt, my six pack had morphed into an 8 pack. My arms looked more muscular than usual, and I just looked a lot stronger than before

"Cool..." I muttered before climbing into the shower. The temperature never really mattered anymore as I casually take swims in the boiling water of the Isles and they never bother me

I climbed out the shower, drying off my hair and brushing my teeth before getting dressed into a black button up shirt with denim jeans, making myself look somewhat presentable for the Emperor

I then walked out the room to see Amity sitting in the lounge, fully dressed in a black dress, reading a book

"I took a shower at Boscha's dorm since you were taking too long" She calmly stated, turning the page before gently closing it and standing up, walking towards me

She gave me a small peck on the lips before looping her arm around mine

"Shall we go?" She asked. I nodded, smiling as I held my free hand out for her to grab onto. She did so, and I closed my eyes, concentrating before teleporting outside the Emperor's Castle

"GAH, FUCK!" I heard a familiar voice yell

"(Y/n)! Great to see you again!" I enthusiastically exclaimed, looming at the 14 year old kid clutching onto the door of the castle holding their heart 

"My goodness, you really gotta stop doing that" They stood up, straightening they're letterman jacket before fixing their eyepatch "Anyways, father is expecting you. Alador is already inside. Shall we go?"

"Yeah, let's not keep the Emperor waiting" Amity said as we started following (Y/n) into the castle

We reached the throne room doors soon as we were greeted by Steve, our favorite guard

"Luz! Amity! And of course, little Emperor" Steve said, ruffling (Y/n)'s hair. They chuckled, failing to look annoyed and fixing their hair

"Anyways, Emperor Belos is inside talking to Hunter and Mr Blight. Best not keep them waiting" Steve said, opening the door for us
