My uncle and aunt died one month back in a fire. I tried to warn them, protect them but I failed horribly!

WHY AM I SO USELESS ALWAYS!

We suspect that vampires are involved in this but we don't have any proof for that.

Heng is furious, he is just waiting for the vampires to make one mistake and then we will attack on them. This will be either the end of them or the end of us. After my uncle and aunt died, me and Heng both became alpha leaders together as Heng don't have his mate Emma with him and I never had any mate to begin with.

In intial days Heng was mad at what had happened, he was ready to start the war, he wasn't listening to any of the advisors, only Emma would have been able to handle him in this devastated state. But sadly Emma broke up with Heng and she moved away from the pack.

Then few days later, the will of my uncle and aunt was announced. In that will they made me and Heng both new alpha leaders of the pack and left everything for us. In the will there was a partner ring set, it is sacred and magical. If two people wear this couple ring, then their mind gets connected just like mates. Me and Heng wore it after Neung convinced him, because he was out of his mind and wanted to start a blood war to get revenge.

Me and Heng exchanged those rings on a full moon night ritual and now we can feel each other mood and hear thoughts just like mates can. It helped me in calming him down and I convinced him to wait for the evidence.

Only me, Heng and Neung know about this bond, for others it's just a ring that signifies that we both are their alpha leaders now.

Few people were unhappy to see me as leader as I don't have any powers, but they soon understood that Heng cannot do this alone, he needs me with him as an anchor to keep pulling him back to reality where thousands of people are dependent on our decisions.

Sooner everybody accepted me as the alpha leader just like they accepted Heng. I can trust everyone and they have full trust and faith on me.

All these time, I have been hiding things from everyone. Heng can feel that I am hiding something but he never forced me to tell him as he respects me and trusts me.

The thing is that I know who killed my uncle and aunt, it's Lucas. For their safety, I installed an app in their mobile phones that captures pictures every 5 minutes from both front and back camera and emails it to me. In the last picture there was LUCAS. I knew his face as I sent Saint to find the whereabouts this Lucas after the future me warned me about him in the wolf dimension.

Lucas is an ancient vampire, no one knows he is how much old, but he looks like a young man in late twenties. He is the most powerful vampire and he is very mysterious in his ways.

Even after finding all about him, increasing my uncle's and aunt's security, he still managed to kill them. Why am I so useless! Even after knowing everything, I failed to change anything.

I want to avenge them, but I don't even have any powers to do that. I don't want to involve anyone in it as it's not that all the vampires are bad, my uncle worked hard to bring this peaceful world to us, I cannot let's all his hardwork washed away by starting a war against the vampires. If there will be a war, then this will be either the end of them or the end of us.

"Leader.... Please don't do this, you don't look good when you are sad" Henry sat beside me over the bar counter.

I don't remember what happened in those three months which I have forgotten, but somehow now I can feel all human emotions and my powers are completely gone, all I can do is just compel people or go in the wolf dimension.
