Becky POV
Thursday evening.
I got a text from Anita, that she will be stopping in the town for sometime tomorrow and she wants her apology.
She wants Freen to apologise to her.
This is what I had promised Anita to keep her and her family as allies and not make them our enemies.
"Freen, Anita is in town tomorrow" I sat beside Freen on the couch in my office.
"?"
"We have done bad to her and her family. We should meet tomorrow and apologise to for that." I suggested.
"No, I don't feel like it" Freen replies as she resumed scrolling on her phone.
"I already met her and apologized to her. Now, I want you to come with me to apologise" Freen looked at me with disbelief.
"When was it?" She asked as she puts her phone away in her pocket.
"Why are you interrogating me?" I asked as Freen has never done this before.
"I am not. I just want to know more about this situation" Freen replies.
She is right. "It was the first day I came to work after our marriage."
"She came to talk with me, before she flew out of Thailand. We discussed about what happened and we decided to move on from it after she is properly spologised for what has been done." I explained.
Freen took out her phone and started scrolling her call logs.
Seeing her so uninterested is making me angry.
I don't like it when she ignores me.
"Before you called me that day?" Freen asks as she stopped scrolling.
"Umm...ya I called you right after she left" I confessed.
"Ohh" Freen replies and keeps phone back in her pocket.
I can feel that she is disappointed in me. But why?
Why is she judging me?
This behaviour is making me angry.
"So, we will meet her tomorrow and."
Freen cuts me off. "There is no we. I don't think I need to apologise to her and even you should not apologise to her again. You should have discussed this with me before deciding on this."
"Why? Don't you think we did bad to her?" I asked. Why does she wants us to create more enemies.
"We did not, my love" Freen grabbed my hand, calming me down.
"Freen, try to think with her perspective" I tightened my grip on her hand.
"Her perspective?" Freen says sarcastically.
This is making me angry, so I stood up to drink water placed on desk.
"Why did you apologised to her before asking me?" Freen asks.
"Because I have conscience." I replied.
"What happened that day was not right for her and her family. They were manhandled and insulted that day, so you need to apologise to them." I explained again.
