Becky POV

I woke up in Freen's bedroom, but she was nowhere to be found. My chest tightened as I remembered her collapsing in the wolf dimension. Something else had been there too, following us and watching us from the shadows.

I stepped out of the bedroom, my heart still racing. The hallway felt strangely distant, but the soft sound of chopping pulled me forward. I rounded the corner and found Freen in the kitchen, calmly slicing something on the counter. Relief washed over me, but the unease lingered.

"Freen? You're alright?" I rushed towards her, relief flooding through me as I wrapped my arms around her.

Freen was dressed casually, in her usual relaxed style - a pair of shorts and a loose, white shirt that hung effortlessly on her frame.

"I am good" Freen said as she continues chopping vegetables.

"Eggs and salad for breakfast" Freen said, her tone casual, as if nothing had happened. She didn't even look up, her focus still on the chopping board.

"Should I make it?" I offered, hoping to feel useful.

"No, go and wash your face first" Freen replied without missing a beat.

"Okay" I said, turning back towards the bedroom. But as I reached the doorway, something tugged at my mind. I paused, glancing back. "Freen... the chair?"

She stopped chopping for a moment, frowning. "What chair?"

"The chair that broke while we were... you know, last night" I said, my cheeks heating with embarrassment.

"Umm... oh, that. I cleaned it up while you were sleeping" Freen said, flashing a reassuring smile.

"I'm sorry for what happened yesterday" I mumbled.

"Okay" she replied, her eyes still focused on the cutting board.

"I'm sorry for not taking care of you in the wolf dimension."

"Hmm... okay" Freen said, her tone distant, not even glancing up.

IS SHE ANGRY AT ME?

The question gnawed at me as I left to clean myself up. I brushed my teeth and took a quick bath, the steam clouding my thoughts.

"This was not here before?" I asked looking at the vintage record player.

"It just got delivered sometime back. I wanted to hear it before this.." Freen stops speaking.

"Before what?" I asked.

Freen rolled her eyes in frustration and turned on the blender, the whirring sound filling the kitchen. The rich scents of milk and bananas wafted through the air.

MAYBE I HAVE MADE HER VERY ANGRY THIS TIME....

I went to Freen and hugged her from back.

"It's suffocating me" Freen said moving my hands away.

"Sorry" I sat on the counter top looking at her.
