The ground shook as thunder rumbled and lightning struck the wetlands below. Rain pattered down on Dusk's wings as the group flew back to the sand kingdom. Hydro said that Aunt Tigershark's mood could almost always predict the weather in both the sea kingdom and the bordering lands, and when she was annoyed or frustrated, it rained.
"Ugh, I hate the rain!", complained Mist.
"Aren't you part seawing? You're supposed to like water," Aloe questioned from behind Dusk.
"I mean, normal water is fine, like the ocean. The rain just irritates my scales, like a bunch of tiny bugs falling on my wings."
"Oh that's weird, I'm completely the opposite. I hate the ocean. It makes me seasick," Seabreeze chimed in.
"Speaking of which, hey Seabreeze, do y- AAAAAAAAHHHHH!"
The lightning hit Mist so suddenly no one had any time to react before she started plummeting towards the ground.
"Mist!", Seabreeze cried as Dusk dived down after her. Dusk barreled into his cousin, closing his eyes as they both got closer and closer to the ground.
CRACK!
The whole word went black as Dusk hit the rainforest floor.
