Its finally Christmas and it's so exciting. Our first Christmas together so it's even more exciting. We're driving to Jarnettes house for Christmas and all the presents are wrapped up and in the boot.
"How long left?" I ask stareing out the window like bored kid "ten minutes but longer the more you keep asking" I turn to lizzie and glare at her "meanie". She laughs and puts her hand on my thigh before wrinkly putting it back on the wheel "I'm joking. The roads really slippery, I can feel the car trying to go in different directions" "do you want to swap? I don't mind driving for a bit and my arms are stronger since I go to the gym" "No I'm good. I got it". I sigh loudly and look in the back "there's so many presents. Are you sure this is enough?" I joke "well all my siblings are coming except Courtney and Jake so yes. You still need to meet them, I'll try and organise something" she says concentrating on the road "I wish I had more siblings but mum got ill before really having a chance" I tell her and lizzie smiles sadly "you have Scarlett, she's like your sister and the twins love you. They phoned me and the only thing they said is 'when you get married y/n is becoming our sister' which is rather cute".
We arrive at Jarnettes house and I help lizzie carry the bags full of presents to the front door. She opens the door quietly and we both go in "Hello, anybody home?" I ask taking off my shoes, Lizzie takes me into the kitchen where everyone is talking "good morning" she says making everyone turn around and look at us. "Y/n!" Adhley squeals "Lizzie!" MK squeals and we get ingulfed in hugs. Jarnette hugs me and welcomes me, lizzies family is always so nice nice. "I love your dress" she says making me smile "you do? Lizzie picked it at" im wearing a chequered red and black body onto dress with arms because its winter. "Can I make anyone drinks?" Trent asks grabbing two glasses down from the cuboard "can I have the same as mom please" lizzie says pointing at the spritz "y/n?" "Oh no, I'm okay thank you though". Lizzie holds my hand "why don't you want a drink?" "I don't really drink alcohol" lizzie raises an eyebrow "come on baby, it's Christmas. Just have a glass of red wine" I sigh "go on then".
Everyone helps to put the Christmas presents under the tree, they don't all fit under the tree anymore because there's so many. Lizzie sits close to me on the sofa and pulls my legs up on her lap "alright present time!" Jarnette shouts bringing in nibbles from the kitchen, I look into Lizzies eyes and she strokes my nose "what?" She whispers sending a shiver down my spine "I haven't phoned nana yet" she smiles "go and phone her. These guys don't mind" I peck her lips quickly "thank you". I get up from the sofa and pull my phone out of my pocket "we'll wait for you" Mary-Kate winks as I walk out the lounge. I go to the back garden and phone nana "merry Christmas!" I say over the phone as soon as she picks up "y/n! What a lovely surprise. Merry Christmas to you too" "are you and grandpa doing anything?" "We're having roast later and your fathers coming over later. Where are you?" "We're at Lizzies mums house today but I'm sure tomorrow we can pop in and say hi" "we'd love that. Is her family treating you well?" I smile and role my eyes. Nana is so protective. "Yes nana, they are lovely and look after me. They are waiting for me to open presents so I should go. We'll call in tomorrow okay?" "Sounds perfect. Love you" "love you too".
I go back inside and sit next to lizzie on the sofa "is everything okay?" She asks pulling my legs up again "yeah, she said merry christmas". "Is it present time?" Trent asks and I nod, he gets up and grabs a present "this is too...mom from y/n and Lizzie" he says handing it to her. Lizzie starts to massage my feet whilst Jarnette opens her present "is it the right one?" Lizzie asks talking about the blender she got her mum "it is. Thank you" we both smile and Jarnette gets up and grabs a present "who's this? Lizzie from y/n" jarnette smiles and hands it to lizzie. I take my legs off her and sit on my feet, lizzie unwraps the first gift and opens the box. I laugh at her reaction and lay my head on her shoulder briefly "where did you get these from?!" "All the weird and goofy photos your mum sent to me ages ago and some I took" I explain "what is it?" Ashley asks and lizzie turns it around. It's a game of cards set but in the middle of each one is a different photo of lizzie pulling a weird face. "That is great'' the twins laugh and look at them "this is your main present". She wunwraps the paper and pulls out the jar "what's this?" I smile and turn it around so she can read the label "it's full of everything I want to do with you and that's what these are". I take an envelope out of the paper and and hand it to her, I watch as she carefully takes tickets out "where going to Ibiza?" I nod and hug her tightly "Ashley said its always somewhere you've wanted to go". Lizzie kisses my lips "this is the best present ever, thank you" "alright lizard, you pick" Jarnette says "Lizard? Is that your name?" I ask Lizzie who roles her eyes "mom calls me it".
