Today I'm taking Lizzie to the beach which I'm really excited about and then I'm going to go and watch her do some filming this evening.
I pack my beach bag which includes my sunglasses and bikini. "Ready to go?" Lizzie asks "yep. Can you carry my bag for me? it's quite heavy" she nods "yeah of course" she picks up my bag and holds my hand "you better have your swimming stuff" I warn as I follow her down the stairs. We're borrowing grandads car today because he won't need it and Lizzie and I want to go to beach. I put my bags in flipflops on and shout bye to my grandparents who shout back. I close the door and follow Lizzie out to the car, I stop feeling a Braxton hick contraction "babe" Lizzie calls and runs back over to me "I just my first Braxton hick contraction" "is that supposed to happen? Do you want to go to a hospital?" I laugh at her worriedness "it's normal. They are irregular and you can first get them at 22 weeks, I'm lucky I've got this far" "how do you know it's practice ones?" I kiss her lips "because they don't hurt". I rub my bump "isn't that right sweetheart" they kick making me smile. I get in the car and buckle in whilst Lizzie gets in the driver's seat "are you sure you want to go?" I nod "yes we're both fine".
We arrive at the beach and Lizzie grabs our bags from the back of the car. I walk down the hill and Lizzie follows, I strip down into my bikini and stuff my dress into my beach bag "are you coming?" I ask watching her lay the beach mat down "yes in a bit" I smile "okay" I walk into the sea and start swimming "it's really cold!" I shout and hear her laugh. I have a swim around and then get out and walk up the beach "I thought you were coming" I say struggling to get down onto the floor. I lay on the rug and Lizzie smiles laying beside me "your so cold" she sits up and takes my towel out of my bag. She dries my shoulders and then my stomach "hey bubba" she lays the towel over me and then lays her head on my stomach "it's cold here, you should be happy your going to be born in America" "I'm not. Being pregnant in thirty degree heat at nine months" she sits up and strokes my cheek "you new that though when we got the transfer" "I didn't think it would work the first time and here I am" she smiles down at me and hums. I sit up and hold Lizzie's hand "I love you" "I love you too" "are you going to go swimming with me?' she nods "go on then". She helps me up from the sand and we both walk down to the sea "Y/n!" She screams as I pull her in "it's freezing!". I dunk my shoulders under the water and wrap my arms around her leg "your freezing" she shivers. I stand up and hold her hands qgain "go and lay down then you big baby if it's too cold" I tease and kiss her cheek "it's not too cold for me. I'm worried about you" my eyes soften and I smile maybe we sho-" I push her quite quickly causing her to stumble back and land in the water. I try not to laugh whilst she spits the salt water out and her hairs now so wet. She stands up rather quickly and holds my shoulder "you can't do it it to me. Look at this thing" I look down at my bump and so does Lizzie "lucky you because this has saved you" I laugh and hug her. Her hand holds the side of my stomach and I stare up at her "Braxton thingy contractions again?' I shake my head "Braxton hick contractions but no. I'm just admiring you" she smiles and pecks my lips softly "I love you" "I love you too. Come and sleep at my grandparents tonight? Have a proper shower that isn't in a tiny caravan and cuddle your very pregnant wife" I joke, her finger strokes my nose "I'll see what I can do. I might need a drop off in the morning" "that's fine. I can drive".
We lay back on the beach to dry off when a shadow stops the sun from touching my face. I look up and watch a little girl run down to the sea, I smile and watch her jump over the waves. Lizzie hand holds my back whilst she sits up aswell "Tabatha!" A woman shouts, Lizzie and I quickly turn around to see a woman in a wheelchair who doesn't have access to the beach. I look back at the child and grip my wife's hand "do you think I should go and get her?" I nod "yeah but I'll go. They could be marvel fans" I chuck a seethrow vest on over my bikini top and Lizzie helps me up from the sound. I walk down the beach and stand next to the child, I look out at the sea thinking if what to say. "Your Tabatha right?" I ask looking down at her, she can't be anymore than three, she nods looking up at me. I bend down a little so I'm more at her height "do you know that person over there?" I ask pointing at the woman in the wheelchair "mummy" I smile softly and look back at her "should we go back to her? Mummy can't get on the beach so she's worried" she nods and I stand back up. I hold out my hand but she makes grabby hands "up up" I let out a little chuckle and pick her up resting her on my bump. I carry her back up the beach to the promenade and stand up on the concret "thank you so so much" the woman says grabbing her hand "it's fine, no biggy" I smile and wave bye to Tabatha as I walk back down to Lizzie. I sit down next to her whilst she smirks "okay what?"
I ask rubbing my bump "you just looked very professional" I laugh "my job is basically working with kids. There's nothing I can't do that involves children". She puts her hand on my bump feeling raspberry's hiccups "he's kicking alot today" "it's hiccups" I smile and put my hand over hers. "Do you think we'll have a preemie baby?" Lizzie shrugs and kisses my forehead "I'm sure they'll be very healthy" she reassures and strokes my nose.
