I wake up to Lizzie's side of the bed empty, she must already be downstairs preparing for our guests later. I sit up and take a sip of water before going to the bathroom and going downstairs. I smile seeing Lizzie at the window with Leia by her feet
"Morning" she turns around and smiles "goodmorning. Did you have a nice rest?" I nod and stroke Leias head "it was very peaceful. You look gorgeous by the way" she smiles softly and plays with my hair "you do too" we both laugh. I'm in my pajamas and I have bed hair, not exactly beautiful. I put the kettle on and get two mugs out of the cupboard "tea?" "Yes please" I put two tea bags in them and put a treat on the floor for Leia who quickly eats it like a pig. Lizzie chuckles and goes back to chopping the vegetables "are you worried about telling them?" I look over at her "no why? Your mum was really excited about the idea and once the twins and Scarlett know, they'll be just as excited. Plus, were both genetically related to them which means your sisters are too" Lizzie nods and looks out the window "I just can't help but worry". I walk over to her and kiss the top of her arm "just breath, it's going to be fine. Don't give me another panick attack, the one at Tokyo was enough" I tease trying to cheer her up. I hug her loosely and kiss her cheek hearing her breathing quicken "name me something you feel" "your hair" I smile "something you see" "tree" "something you smell" "perfume" "something you love" "you" "where do you live?" "California" "how many children are we having?" "Three" I look up at the ceiling and smile "not all at the same time I hope" I ask with a giggle "you okay now?" I ask and she nods "your really good at it" "because I've done it alot of time before". I hold her hand and hold it flat to my stomach. I look into her eyes worriedly still holding her hand to me "I can feel the beating of your heart" I smile "because I'm scared. I want you to be okay" she hugs me loosely and kiss my forehead "I'm okay. We're okay" Leia licks her hand wanting to be involved. I smile softly and bring her hair over one side of her shoulder "sit down, I can carry on" "are you sure?" I nod "yeah. I'm pregnant, I can stand up for more than twenty seconds". She sits on a chair and watches me cut up the vegetables "so are we going to give each of them a scan?" "Only if they want it. They can't be forced" I joke sliding the veg into a pan of cold water to be ready to cook.
Our first guest arrives and lizzies quick getting up from the sofa to get to the door before me. She opens it quickly and were greeted by the two biggest smiles in the world, Mary-Kate and Ashley. Lizzie invites them in and both of them take it in turns to hug us. "We brought some wine' Ash says handing the bottle to me "thank you" I smile at read the label. It's from France, how posh. "Habe you been crying? Your eyes are puffy. Has my sister made you cry?" MK says pressing under my eyes "no. Probably just tiredness" I smile and catch Lizzie eye, pregnancy fat. "Can I get you anything to drink? There's basically anything" Lizzie giggles "surprise me" "and me" the twins say "babe?" "Um lemonade please" she takes the bottle from me and goes into the kitchen. "After you" I follow the twins into the lounge and sit on the sofa opposite them, Leias sleeping in her basket having no idea there are two more people than normal. "Your house always smells so fresh, even with a dog" I laugh and adjust a cushion behind me "that's because Lizzie does an awful amount of cleaning. She's a clean aholic, I'm telling you" the twins laugh and look at Leia. Lizzie comes back with a tray of drinks and puts it on a coffee table and takes the drinks off aswell as a bowl of crisps "what flavour?" I ask grabbing one "just ready salted". She sits next to me with a margarita in her hand and runs her fingers through my hair "has anything happened since we last saw you?' Ashley asks and I look at Lizzie "only work" I tell them and lean my head on Lizzie's shoulder "how many more baby's have you delivered?" "Alot, too many to count" Lizzie kisses my head "she's very good at her job. If either of you have baby's, go to her" I laugh asy faces redens "please don't".
Jarnettes arrived so the only person we are waiting on now is Scarlett who's late. She's never late. I look out the window anxiously waiting for her and message her a couple of time to see where she is. Lizzies arm wraps around my waist as she pulls me into her "stop stressing, she'll be here any minute" I sigh quietly "it's not good for either of you" she whispers putting her hand on my stomach "I know, I just can't help it" she smiles softly and kisses my cheek "I'll be back in a minute".
Finally Scarletts car pulls up on the driveway and I'm quick to answer the door before she reaches it. I hug her tightly making her chuckle "it's nice to see you too" I pull away "where were you? I thought something happened" "I had to drop Rose off at Mom's place and there was traffic. Sorry" "don't be, I'm glad your alright" I lead her in and watch as she takes off her shoes and coat "hey Scar, can I get you something to drink? We've got anything" Lizzie smiles "whatever your having" Lizzie goes into the kitchen and I take Scarlett into the lounge. Everyone greets her and she takes my spot on the sofa "no Rose today?" Ashley asks "nope. A bit of alone time" "I miss that purple monster. You should have bought her" I tell her sitting down. Lizzie brings in a drink for Scarlett and sits on the arm chair since I'm now sitting in her seat. "What's for dinner Lizard?" Jarnie asks "it's a surprise. Everyone likes chicken though right?" Everyone nods "that's good". I tuck a strand of hair behind my ear and catch Scarlett looking at me "you look different. Your eyes are puffy" I sigh and everyone laughs "that's what I said. Are you sure you haven't been crying?" Lizzie and I both nod "we are very sure. We actually have a little announcement" Lizzie says sitting on the sofa squishing me.
Jarnie smiles widely knowing exactly what she's about to tell them. "Do you want to tell them?' "no you can" "okay. Y/n is pregnant!" She squeals and I watch all their faces change. "No way. Your kidding" Ash questions shocked, I shake my head and pass her an ultrasound photo "you still think we're kidding?" I laugh as my eyes fill with tears. Scarlett hugs me tightly "your having a baby?" I nod "ahhh!!" Lizzie laughs and gets up to hug her mum. I pass Scarlett an ultrasound and we look at it together "please tell me this isn't a joke" "Its not. I'll go and take a test for proof". I look over at Lizzie and smile seeing her celebrate with her family "I think Scarlett is more excited to be an auntie than you a mum" Lizzie turns around quickly "not possible" I laugh and stand up to hug Jarnette"how for along are you?' MK asks "three weeks" lizzie says and picks me up. I squeal like a kid until she puts me down "thirty seven weeks left" she says looking into my eyes "hopefully thirty nine. A baby can be born anytime after 36 weeks because it's fully formed meaning anytime after 46 weeks would be fine" I tell them. Lizzie smiles and cups my cheeks "well I'm glad I have you otherwise I wouldn't have known that" she kisses my lips and I watch the twins grimmis in the background. Lizzie laughs and looks at them "noone is allowed to touch my wife otherwise there's no food" she teases and goes into the kitchen. I sit on the sofa next to Scarlett and put my feet on her lap "what are you doing?" "I'm pregnant, I'm allowed to do whatever I want" I say laying down.
I go into the kitchen to see Jarnette and Lizzie talking about the baby. Lizzies showing her the boots she got whilst shopping yesterday evening. "Hey, when's food?" I ask "about an hour. You can have something if your hungry though" I shake my head and stand under her arm. "I'm so happy it worked for you both. Your deserve it more than anyone" "thank you mom" Lizzie puts her hand on my stomach "she's very protective as you can see" jarnie laughs and moves Lizzie's hand off me "I'm just making sure you and the baby are okay" "well we're fine. imagine how protective she'll be when there's a bump" I joke. Lizzie smiles softly and kisses my forehead "your going to look so cute" she squeals so I join the others in the lounge from pure embarrassment.
Dinners finally called and we all sit at the table whilst Leia it's her little meal Lizzie did for her. I pour wine into everyone's glasses except from mine which is lemonade and Ashley holds up her glass "to y/n and Lizzie and their baby" "to y/n and Lizzie" everyone else repeats and we take a sip. Whilst MKs serving up Lizzie takes the opportunity to check on how I'm feeling "does anyone need anything else?" They shake their heads "babe?" "I'm fine too. Stop worrying about me, this looks lovely" she smiles softly and lays a napkin over my lap "just making sure".
