Leon jerked and tossed in his sleep, unable to get the memory of yesterday when his house burned along with his parents dead on the floor. He jolted up and started to breathe heavily, he looked around to see that he wasn't at his home anymore but instead in Megan's home. He couldn't help that his tears started to fall just by waking up from his nightmare. He looked at Megan's stuffy, Timmy, who was next to him.

He gently picked the stuffy up and started to quietly cry to himself, not wanting to alert Megan or her father.

Megan slowly woke up to the feeling of needing to use the bathroom, she got up from the couch and headed to the bathroom as quietly as possible. After she was done and washed her hands she went back to the couch, however, she heard muffled noises coming from her room.

She gets closer to her room door to realize that the sounds she heard were coming from Leon.

Is he... crying?

Megan slowly opens the door which causes Leon to look up. She looks to see Leon's figure sitting up from her bed as Leon sees hers from her doorframe.

"Leon..." she whispered, "Are you okay?"

Leon couldn't think of anything to say so he just quietly cried to himself. Megan quietly headed over to him and felt sad for him, she wanted to know what was making him cry. She turned on her little lamp, sat on her bed, and looked at him, "Want to talk about it?..."

He looked over at her then looked away. Her eyes soften from his reaction, she then scoots closer to him, "Did you have a bad dream?..."

She waited for him to answer her question, and after a few seconds, he then gave her a small nod. She wasn't sure if she should ask what kind of nightmare it was since she probably knew the answer anyway.

Before she could come up with something to say, Leon whispered out, "Megan..."

"Yes?..."

"Your Dad is a cop... right?"

She gave him a small nod, "Yeah, he's the best cop I know," it was a bit random for Megan to have Leon ask about her Dad so suddenly, she thought it was because he wanted to get his mind away from his nightmare.

"Can you tell me more about him?..."

She gave him a soft smile and got cozy on her bed, "Sure..." she whispered, "Dad always catches the bad guys, even when they think they escaped his reach... He saves many people's lives, helps them out when they are in danger, and keeps the city safe..."

She then gets up to head to her closet, "Stay there, I want to show you something," she opens the closet door quietly so she wouldn't make much noise. She pulls out her police costume and walks over to him so he can see better with the lamp shining on it

"This was a gift Dad got me for my birthday last year... whenever I wear it I start to pretend to be a cop just like my Dad. Whenever he tells me stories I would copy them so I can be brave and strong like he is."

Leon looked over at her little police outfit and softly smiled, she continued, "One day, I'll grow up to be a cop just like him. Saving lives and making the world a better place."

Leon couldn't help but feel much better listening to her talk about her father, "Wow... your Dad is cool..."

She nods in agreement and puts the outfit back in her closet, "My Dad could tell you stories of his day too but only when he isn't tired. And if you are lucky, he can take us to the station for "Bring your kid to work day" and believe me when I say it's a blast."

"Really?... you think he'd take me?"

"Of course, he would... and I promise you, you'll love it..."
