Megan heads over to the K9 training department to get her punishment over with. It shouldn't take that long to help clean. I mean how much mess can a few dogs make? Once she entered the building she was met with a bunch of loud barking and other employees who were helping their students to train the dogs.

She looked around to see the sight, one of the workers named Kim walked over to her, "You must be Megan Baker, I was told that you came here to help."

She nods, observing him since he looks like an average student here, "Pretty much, are you in charge?"

"You could say that, but no. I am just helping out with the others. I considered this as part-time."

"Oh okay... so where do I start."

"Follow me," Kim led over to where they kept the other dogs, "Here is the pen, obviously you can tell there are a few messes here and there so just clean all that up and I'll be back to give you more instructions."

Megan sighed quietly and entered the pen, the dogs who were full of German shepherds, took notice of Megan and started barking at her. Their barks never sounded aggressive, but more like asking for her attention, she felt a headache coming on as they barked loudly at her.

She gets to work on cleaning their pens, it didn't take her that long but eventually, they seemed to calm down and do their things. Some lay on the floor, playing with toys or just minding their own business. Megan looked around to see them, she softly smiled at how troublesome they could be but still looked adorable.

She looked at the clock to see that she spent a good amount of hours here, she heard the sound of footsteps to saw Kim walking over to the pen, "I see you managed to finish, did they give you a hard time?"

"They wouldn't stop barking for a while but I got used to it."

"That's good to hear, you seem like you did pretty good. Now that you've cleaned their pens, let me take you to their training sessions, help pick up equipment to put away."

She made her way over to the training center which is outside, looking at the others trying to train the K9s in various tasks. Kim looked over at her, "They will be done with their training in a bit, in the meantime you can relax until they're done. Go ahead and take a seat."

Megan goes over to a folded chair and sits down, watching the other dogs run around, jump, or bite work training. Looking at the dogs made her recall a small memory she had when she was little, she was seven years old when she looked out her window to see kids playing with their dogs.

Oh, how she remembered begging her father to get one and his answer was always no, not that she blamed him for it. After all, he did say that it was, "Too much responsibility," and she wasn't going to argue about it.

Suddenly a small bark broke her out of her dazed mind and she looked over to see one of the employees carrying a small box of German Shepherd pups, "Lookie here, someone came by and wanted to give these critters a new home."

Kim glanced over to Megan and noticed her sudden interest, he walked over to her with a puppy in his hand, "Want to come and take a look?"

Megan stood up and looked at the small puppy, she softly smiled and gently poked its little nose, "Sure is a cutie, so are they going to stay here?"
