Melody and Leon quickly rushed to the locker rooms to retrieve the body camera. Once they were there, Leon stood by the entrance to wait for Melody to come back. It wasn't long after she came out of the locker room. He was surprised to see the look of desperation on her face. She turned over to him empty-handed.
"It's gone..."
Leon's eyes widen at her statement. "Gone? What do you mean it's gone?"
"I mean that the body camera is gone. It's not in my locker where I left it." Melody says, her voice showing extreme sheer panic. "What if someone found it and turned it in? I'll get expelled for video voyeurism." Her shoulders start to shake as she tries to hold back her tears.
Leon quickly held her close, wanting to give her some comfort. He starts to feel protective of her, trying to think of who could be the one to have gotten the body camera from her locker. The only one he could think of was...
"Oh, but it has. I would make sure no one else has caught you sneaking in a body camera in the girl's locker room, that can probably get you expelled."
His grip on her slightly tightened, his teeth clenched at the possibility- no, the exact idea of who took it.
"Those bastards..." he mutters.
Melody looked up as he glanced around to find them, her voice soft and shaken. "Leon... I don't know what to do... I can't tell my professor that I lost it. If I told him that then I'll have to pay for it and if he finds out why... I-"
Leon gently shushes her, his thumb over her lips. "Don't worry, I ain't letting that happen. We are getting it back before graduation, that I swear." He says with comfort as he gently wipes her tears away. "Just leave it to me. I'll get to the bottom of this. Right now we have to get to class and tomorrow we will put an end to them." She gently nods in agreement as they start heading toward their next class.
Leon was determined to find Mike and James, not only because they were already going to have Megan get expelled by their prank, but because they also targeted Melody for interfering. It was only a matter of time before he got his turn. As much as he wants to be there to stop them from going after Megan, deep down he hopes that she can be able to take care of herself without needing his help. Right now, Melody needs him.
Once he walked Melody to her class, he looked around to see if one of the boys was around. Melody noticed Leon's eyes lingering around, she gently put her hand on his arm. "Leon, I don't want you to do anything you might regret."
"I won't, I promise. But I can't just let them get away, especially when you're worried about getting expelled."
"I know... but if you start a fight with them then-"
"I won't fight them, as much as I want to... it won't be worth it in the end if we all got in trouble because of them. It would mean that they won... and I'll be damn if I'm letting that happen."
Melody let out a small sigh, not hiding her concern about all that was happening. "Alright then, but... what are you going to do?"
"I really want to confront them first of all, but I think it would make things much worse. But I don't know what else to do. Guess we'll just... wait and see."
As this was happening, Megan was almost done with preparing the decorations by moving the boxes that Kim told her to place. She glanced over to him, "So did the spray paint come off?"
An annoyed huff was heard. "No, it completely wrecked my clothes. Had to dump that shit in the trash, not to mention how much of a pain in the ass it was to get off my skin."
"I bet... so after this is there anything else I should do?"
"Hmm. You can start by opening up the box of streamers so we can hang them up. I'll handle the banner."
