A/N: Girls outfit and song in media. :)
"Raymond," Maya starts for like the sixth time. "Is your father?"
I nod, "Apparently so."
"This is too crazy," she shakes her head, rubbing her temples. "By the way, don't think I'm not gonna go off on your ass later for leaving without telling anybody, and leaving to meet up with a perfect stranger at that."
I roll my eyes, picking apart my breadstick, leaning into Colin's side. "I needed to do this Maya. A lot of my problems have to do with Kendall, yes. But, majority of them are related to my upbringing. My abandonment issues started with my mother. She's the root of all of this, and I need to find out once and for all why." I explain with a sigh. "Raymond was my only hope, so I had to go see him."
It just sucks though that he wasn't able to give me any information about my mom though. He said he would tell me all he knew, but not today. Said he needed time to process everything. I was a little disappointed, but I understand. This is a lot....
"Alone though?" Maya presses, shaking her head again.
"I kinda agree with Maya, Aria," Colin mutters, causing me to look up at him. "Aside from being a nice customer, you didn't know anything about him."
"He had a picture of my mom and I Colin."
"First sign of a sure stalker, serial killer, rapist, etc." Maya adds on, raising her arched eyebrow. "I see it in movies all the time girl."
"You watch way too much Lifetime," I chuckle, getting up to throw my paper plate away.
"Okay, when ya ass gets kidnapped, don't come calling me!" She glares, wagging a finger in my direction.
"Trust me, she won't." I hear Colin comment, eliciting Maya flipping him off.
"I just can't get over his last name though, I'm sorry," Kay laughs, walking out the kitchen with me with a water bottle in hand. "Like, he looks like a Raymond. But Raymond Hampton? It just-"
Derrick starts choking on his water, "Raymond Hampton? As in the tall, black, brother - Raymond Hampton?"
I look at him strangely, "Umm yes?"
"You know him?" Maya questions.
"How do you not?" Ricardo ponders. "The Hampton family is one of the wealthiest African-American families in the world."
My jaw drops. I mean, I knew by the whole 'billionaire' comment Raymond made, that he had to be rich, but I didn't realize his whole family was loaded.
"Seriously?" I ask, mouth still slightly ajar.
"The Hampton Dynasty has investments all over the globe. Hell, they own a good chunk of California's top businesses." Colin chuckles.
"There was actually talk a few years back of Raymond becoming the new owner of the 49ers," Ricardo gestures to Colin who nods in agreement.
"Shit, you blessed as fuck Ari," Derrick takes a swig of his Pepsi. "If there was ever a better family to find out you're kin to."
Kaydence squeals falling down on Ricardo's lap, wrapping her arms around his neck. "We're rich bitches!"
"We're?" Maya challenges. "Bitch, Raymond is her daddy not ours."
Kay sucks her teeth, "He can be my daddy too Maya." She smirks suggestively, "Just not in the same way he is with Ari."
"You know I'm sitting right here?" Ricardo complains, shifting in his chair. "Right?"
