A/N: This is rather short, and for good reason.

Chanel in the multimedia.

This will be the last update for this year. Expect the next one sometime within the first week of January.

Trust us, you all will need the time....

Please understand everything happens for a reason. :/

"She's so damn adorable," I smile, looking at the picture he just sent me. He's holding Chanel, smiling down at her, while she looks up at him with pure curiosity.

He yawns, stretching his arms up and I can see he's exhausted, and probably jet legged too. "You still planning on flying in this weekend?"

He nods, "I know it's crazy, but I literally find myself thinking about her all the time despite...."

"It's not weird," I shake my head. "You've gone months mentally preparing for this to happen and even though she may not biologically be your daughter, for all intents and purposes, she still is yours."

He squints his eyes and shrugs, "I can't explain it Maya. It's like....when I held her for the first time....I just couldn't walk away."

I nod softly, "I'm proud of you D."

Is Chanel really Derrick's daughter? No.

Is he still hurt about Diamond's ass deceiving him? Yes.

Has he decided he can get over her deception for the sake of the innocent baby? Absolutely.

Apparently, and eerily, Diamond hooked up with someone else the night before she and Derrick slept together. It was such a small (or not), but real chance, of him not being the father. She had to find out though, not that it made a difference because the bitch still lied to him. Even worse....his mother knew the truth.

She was in on it the whole time.

Diamond's mother is the one who told Derrick, under the impression that her trifling ass daughter had already broken the news to him.

He was a wreck, but couldn't deny his feelings and love for little Chanel. As upset as he might have been, he can't see himself not being in Chanel's life. Diamond clearly has no objection to it either, practically trying to already get her body back so she can continue her modeling. Not even a week old, it seems like Chanel Cassandra Thomas has spent more time with Derrick's mother and him than her own mother.

And Derrick doesn't even live in California anymore.

It seems like when he's not playing or practicing, he's on a fight out here to spend as much time as he can with Chanel and/or me...even if it's just for a few hours.

Like I said, I'm proud.

He smiles, and I can tell he's getting to say some mushy shit, so I smack by lips.

"But I been sitting in our fave couple's driveway for way too long now," I shift in my car seat, taking off my seatbelt. "I better head in before Aria has a damn heart attack."

He nods softly, "Aye Maya?"

"Yeah?"

"Thank you," his voice drops, and I feel myself getting slightly anxious. "For giving me a second chance."

"Yeah yeah," I blush, trying not to show how his sweet words have me feeling some type of way. "Don't make me regret it moron."

He smirks, clearly seeing through my little act. Lord, I hate how this motherfucker has gotten to know me so well. "You got it Mctitties."
