Act 1 | Year 2021: Prologue

February 2021,

The opening act to every entertainment industry in korea always leads to Kpop. Short for Korean Pop Music. I always thought that the Kpop industry was a waste of time. Everything you do will always be judged whether it be good or bad.

My parents always said that I was a bright child. Or I thought school was too boring. I aced everything in school without any challenge. Up to a point that the teacher had to call the higher ups on what to do with me.

Thus, I was sent to take IGCSE and got into Seoul National University at the age 16. I didn't know what degree I should take. But, after the death of my father due to a car accident at the age of 15, I decided to take Business Management to expand their bakery business. After all, the bakery was their legacy.

This semester marks my last semester in university. But, during my free time, I either helped out my mom at the bakery or help with my siblings with their homework. At the moment, I'm delivering some bakeries that my uncle ordered.

Did you know my uncle is a famous celebrity? His name is Lee Dong Wook. He starred in multiple movies and series. I thought it was boring, but after my late dad saw my talent in dancing, he asked me to audition at a local company.

And with some reason, I was immediately made as a trainee. But, I specifically said I would consider it since I never had any dream on becoming a kpop idol. But, my dad's last words were he wanted to see me shine on stage. He doesn't want my talent to go wasted. He knows that I crave for something challenging in life.

And that is how I became a kpop trainee under PLEDIS Entertainment. Wherever he is, I want him to look after me as I shine on stage. I was joined with 4 other members to make a 5 member group. And after I graduate will be the day we debut.

To be honest, we were supposed to debut 2 years ago, but I immediately shot down due to the other members were still underage. I was the only person that hit 18. Thus, I ask them to reconsider at least debut when our maknae reach adult age which was in 2 years.

Luckily, PLEDIS Entertainment heard my pleas and managed to postpone our debut date. Today marks the month of February, which means both I and the maknaes will be graduating.

We have roughly around 7 months to do our first MV and some marketing stuff that the company had plans for us. But that was for later, right now. I have some bread to deliver.

I parked my car right beside the building that my uncle was using. Apparently, he was having a variety show with a kpop idol group called IZ*ONE. He requested some of mom's signature steam buns to distribute to them all as snacks.

I quickly got inside the building as I went to the receptionist.

Receptionist: Oh Killian, are you here to distribute the buns?

Me: Yeah. Uncle ordered some of it. May I know where is he?

Receptionist: Just take the first staircase, go up one floor and turn left. You won't miss it.

I nodded a thank you before taking flight. I carried the steamed buns carefully as I went up the stairs. Quickly turning left, I found a wide space that was consisting of the IZ*ONE members alongside my uncle having lunch.
