It's an award show that people did not take seriously. It is an official award ceremony by default. Yet, it's not as big as the original big 5 award ceremonies. But, for us. Every award counts because it's based on fans voting. They voted and it's our job to repay them back.

I blinked once again the moment my view was obstruct. But this time was from Kyujin, Liz's #2 best friend. She was smiling ear to ear before waving frantically in front of my face. Smiling, I greeted them all together.

Speaking of them, they did quite a number on the chart, winning multiple rookie awards and winning a daesang for Song of the Year with 'Love Dive' at the Golden Disk Award. Now they sat above Aespa with 360 days before winning a daesang compare to theirs of 380 days.
I was so proud of them. I remembered I immediately stood up before clapping with the proudest face I can muster. Seeing Yujin teared up made me remembered last year when we won the award. They've been through a lot. They deserve it.
Not only them, (G)-IDLE also received the award for Song of The Year with 'TOMBOY'. They won it at the Melon Music Award making them climbed up the ranks for the next 4th generation kpop group to win a daesang.
But, I felt sad for Aespa. They did not received any daesang for this years ceremonies. All awards were tight to even break through. Artists of the Year were dominated by the 3rd generations that are still active. Album of The Year was a two horse race between SEVENTEEN and Stray Kids.
While Song of The Year was between our group, IVE and (G)I-DLE. They did received normal awards ranging to best female group, Album Bonsang but not a single daesang. I talked to Minjeong about it, yet I can hear the disappointment in her voice saying that they should've done better.
