Act 8 | Year 2028: Galacticos

August 2028,

A month had passed after so many promotions around the world. From going to the states, the UK, even around Asia. By far, seeing how successful the album was this was our biggest year. The most successful by a mile.

The fans had been vocal they can't get enough of the song. The song was targeted for the summer and yes it met the target. 'Boy With Luv' was a summer theme song. Road trips with friends, dancing to the beach party etc.

What's more shocking was the amount of revenue that Babylon Garden was generating. It tripled from the forecast giving in huge cash inflow for the company. Also, while touring around the world we met new fans that became fans. Ranging from kids to elderly.

You don't know the amount of groups that covered our songs. The fifth generations all went on board with the trend. Multiple boy and girl groups covered our songs in most of the music festivals. They said it was to pay homage to the group that paved kpop into the world.

It was true, ever since Babylon Garden took a spot in the Billboard Music Awards, they made a section for kpop categories: Top Global Kpop Artist, Top Kpop Album, Top Global Kpop song and Top Global Kpop Touring Artist.

It was not a surprise that Babylon Garden managed to win Top Kpop Album, Top Global Kpop song and Top Global Kpop Artist. Top Global Kpop Touring Artist were given to Stray Kids after the stellar they had.

It was a good year and we haven't yet come to the end. Because why? The five of us are planning to disband the year after. We all agreed that Babylon Garden had done well enough in the industry for 8 whole years.

It was time for us to go and went on our separate lives. We discussed it among the higher ups, although they want us to stay in the end we all agreed to the terms. Muchen and Tobio will went to their respective countries to pursue their solo careers while Jaewoo and AJ will stay in Korea for their solo career.

I on the other hand were given a place in the HYBE office for my next career. Since I was one of the people that helped with the company, it was suffice to say that I held dear to me. I will be given the kpop formation department. But, I probably want to expand it in the near future.

It was not known to the public yet since we have a year left in our contract, that's why I'm doing my work slowly and getting to know the rules. Currently, I'm on my way to one of the dance practice rooms to get to know our soon to debut group.

Consisting on six members, all were chosen based on auditions that the company had a few years ago. After the success of Empress, they were quickly acted upon to find the next big star. That's why the group name that were chosen was 'Galacticos'. In spanish term, it means superstar.

My personal opinion is that, it's not wrong to go through the survival shows. It gives more exposure to your talent before you debut and people will have the anticipation. Yet, if you vote for someone and they did not win, people will hate on the person that actually won.

Thus, you will get hate even before you debut. Sad to see really. If it's just the judges that chose, better just take them under your wing at the initial stage. That's why, HYBE at the moment will only do company auditions and evaluation under the company's tutorage. 

Originally, we wanted to debut a new girl group but looking at the times now, it doesn't make sense to debut another girl group knowing that Empress had that covered. Babylon Garden is disbanding, SEVENTEEN sunbaenim are now more focused on their solo careers rather than a group. The same goes for Red Velvet.

Le sserafim and ENHYPEN are at the end of their maturity stage. Give it a year or two before they started to decline. HYBE will only be left with Empress who was on the rise. Thus, it's better for us to debut a new boy group for the fifth generation.
