" I was wondering when you would show up " he smiled looking up to see her entering the room . " hey grandpa " she kissed his temple . " how are you dear " he asked knowing the answer already . "  its alot to deal with but the team is good well most of them anyways " she said taken a seat across from him . " he is very sorry its all that's in his head , maybe forgiving him with help ease one of your stresses " he  told her knowingly. " stupid sexy dude " she groaned making him look at her again . " sorry grandpa , have you guys found anything on stryker  " she asked . " no sadly he knows how to hide from cerebro  but we will help get him and make sure he stays locked up " he promised. " will I ever get away from my past " she asked curiously. " yes my dear  and we are always here to help " he reassured her . " how has everything been here " she asked . " Mr. Stark sent us a generous donation and  alot of supplies for the kids so it's been doing amazingly " . " of course he did , any newbies that need the y/n treatment " . " luka and max but more so max he's a very scared little boy , parents beat him  for being a mutant " he said with such saddness in his words .  " he's in his room before you ask " he smiled softly . " I'll go see him now if we're finished" she stood up already moving to the door . " go we can catch up tomorrow I need to make few calls anyways " he chuckled .

Walking down the corridors of the mansion always warmed her heart she had met so many here  . The scared thoughts invaded her head hurting her heart making her feeling so sad . " be home in couple of days " she texted tony who replied he knew .  " gramps you sly fox " she giggled.  " y/n  here may I come in " she asked knocking on the door . " yeah " the voice was almost so low she barely heard  it.  But when she walked in she almost chastised them for not calling her sooner poor boy looked  in horrible condition . Dark circles around his eyes and shifty terrified of every movement .  " hey I heard your max " she closed the door standing in her spot waiting for him to make first move . She knew it could help it was like her when she came here first . " you can sit if you want " spoke finally . " thank you  , how you finding it here " she asked sweetly. "  its fine I guess " he shrugged watching her like a hawk . " really your better than I am I was terrified when i came here first and I was bit older than you , everything scared me " she explained. "  really cause I hear you work with the avengers now " he looked at her not buying it .  " I was terrified  of beast thought he would eat me " she chuckled  making him smile a little . " how did  you stop being afraid " he asked curiously  .  " I let people in but I also let them know at first I needed space and they did  , and well  with beast I used to feed him all time so he wouldn't eat me know I feel robbed " she laughed . " how do I do that " . " you could come meet my avenger friends and we could play games I'm staying for the week so I can help " she smiled . " ok " he smiled hesitantly  getting off the bed . " can I hold your hand " she asked him making him  hold his hand out reluctantly  . " come on let show these guys how it's done " she smiled walking out of the room proudly .
When they walked into the game room her jaw dropped seeing all the new stuff knowing tony had something to do with it . " heard we are staying longer then intended " steve laughed  . " well professor asked Tony so plus I get to hang out with my new pal max "nodded to the boy beside her. " wow she got him to come out of the room " she heard one of the kids whisper and maxs hand tighten . " max here is awesome but he likes he space so if he feel the need for it and tell you respect it please " she announced smiling when he relaxed abit . " like you when you calm here " rogue giggled making him look up at her   .  " told you " sh shrugged . " baba " the babble made her smiled  Luka holding his hands out .  " come here little man " she cooed holding him on her hip whilst still holding max's hand .  " ok what we playing " she asked . " can we play your special game "  one of kids asked  as the others pleaded . " ok get the nets and other stuff and out we go " she smiled  .  " what's the game " bucky asked . " she make things fly and they catch them little dragon or bugs or stars they get so excited about it  " rogue explained walking out . It been day one and  his heart was overdrive seeing her with the kids . 

Once out a little girl Katie handed everyone a net even max who held Y/n hand tightly and luka who used it as sort of a weapon . " hey little man come I'll  help " bucky took him and waited for her to start earning him a smile  first one in what felt  like forever .  " ok is everyone ready " she yelled earning a yes  even from bucky .  The boxes opened and little figure and paper creatures flew around the kids making them giggle and yell . She felt her arm going forward  as max slowly moved forward  little movements to try catch something but still holding back  she looked to see bucky helping luka it made her heart warm up at sight til she felt her hand felt empty max running to join the fun  .  After shit first week this was so much better  making her think maybe home was probably best place to be .

Once the night came she  brought them all back in to get ready for bed telling wade she would go next week to sister margaret's . " hey sorry little man won't sleep for me " storm walked in with a crying luca . " only while I'm here but we need to phase me out near end of the week " she smiled taking him . " we will but thank you " storm  sat beside her  smiling back  at luka who was starting to dose off content in her arm .  "Hey seen max playing earlier way to go kitten " logan called loudly walked in with steve and bucky . " if you wake  this child I will make streamers out  of you  " she whisper yelled . " sorry  see luka took to you " he smiled . " hmm hes a cutie " she cooed looking down at him . " would you ever have kids " steve asked. " she was in the red room you idiot " bucky slapped his arm . " it's ok i was safe from that , hydra wanted me fertile so they could make enhanced children but i was found years before that could start " she smiled them looked up at her dad who caught on  to her own realisation. " what " steve asked looked  between them . " that why there after me now  to make little mutants or enhanced " she spoke softly not wanting to waking the sleeping luca .   " we won't let them dol.. doctor " bucky promised trying to calm the anger .  " doll is fine grandpa was right when we talked about forgiveness" she told him instantly calming him . " ok  doll " he beamed .  " dad move luka's crib into my room " she asked making him  instantly agreed . " first time he's sleep so easily " storm rubbed his back . " i think   he see me as one of him " she kissed his head .  " wont don't you use your weekends to come here " steve offered . " i think i might " she beamed up at him .  " you're great with the kids doll " bucky could help feeling warm inside when he watched her with the baby .  " she always was  , max  played today for first time today she just has this way with them  " storm answered for her. " well when i heard what he been through i knew  what to do  , he reminded me of me when i first came here " she smiled sadly.  " what happened " steve asked interested. " he's parent beat him for being a mutant " she answered trying to stop her emotion taking over .   " poor kid but least he's  here now " bucky tried comforting her.  " yeah this place is amazing " she gushed . 

once she was  lay luka down in his crib she couldn't help thinking when she would have kids of her own , if she would ever. She hoped so looking at his little face she definitely wanted to but when her time was right and not by hand of hydra making her more worried about them looking for her . She would rather die then to let hydra to  use her  or take any part of her  .  " hey kitten you ok " logan asked walking in making luka stir and her shoot him a glare . " how about we get some hot chocolate " he winced . " come on " she lead him out of the room to see max outside her door . " you ok champ " she asked him worriedly . " i can't sleep so i thought maybe we could hang out " he asked quickly.  " yeah sure  dad you don't mind max joining " she called back . " sure kid " . " he's your dad ,  he my beast " max whispered up to her . " he's a softie  i promise   " she held out her hand letting him take it if he wanted .   the 3 sat in the kitchen as logan heated up the milk  reaching to the top shelf taking out 3 giant cookies  .  logan making silly faces earning some laughs from max who was lapping up the attention .   enjoying the closeness and hot chocolate he soon began to dose off but soon jumped up . " what wrong " she asked him seeing the panic on his face .  " nightmare " his voice barely been heard but she did. " would you like to sleep in with me and luka " earning a shy nodd.  " go on kids " logan stood up clearing the mugs and crumbs up .    he feel asleep  quickly feeling safe for first time . she checked luka once more letting the sleep take over small smile when max held her hand .  maybe she should stay here .
