Cause and action

Doctor cho ran past them in the room in such haste  it made her heart sink  .  " he'll be ok" logan said hugging her tightly . he didn't know whether if was talking to himself or his distress daughter .  after what felt forever but in reality bruce finally came out. " appendicitis trigger the mutant gene" bruce said more calmly than he was before. " so operation now" she said knowing herself what was too happen . " yes then we will see how it goes he'll need to stay here til it passes and to recover from the surgery but we don't know what abilities he will have along with what we already know" he explain carefully knowing how worried his friends were for their child. " you have to work quick just incase he has regeneration healing" she said trying to  be more doctor than parent but failing. " he'll be ok won't he" bucky finally spoke up . " yes once we get the appendix out we can make the transition a lot easier" bruce told him. " can we see him before , be-before he goes for surgery " she stammered the tears coming down her face surprising herself she still had some left. bruce nodded and lead them into the room her hand shaking metal peaking from the tops of her knuckles in her nervous manner.  his little frame in a sleep  on the large hospital cot breaking her heart seeing him like that . she felt like she already failed him seeing his little face scrunch up .  kissing his head  and holding his hand promises of new toys and ice cream when he woke up . Bucky heart shattered barely speaking throughout it all . Not knowing what to say but " i love you" . bruce told them it was time as he was wheeled from the room .  The two  who where happy not that long ago suddenly lost  and heartbroken.

4 hour they waited which made her nervous they should only take an hour . her mind running through the worst but soon they appeared wheeling in the bed .  " sorry we had to put him under again and restart , you were right about the regeneration but he is ok " he smiled . " can we see him" she asked small smiled and relieved breathe leaving her lips . " of course come on" he smiled leading them to the room . the colour slowly coming back to the toddlers face and far more peaceful she seen the little marks on his knuckle. " he's claws came out" she asked making bruce chuckle . " yeah while he was sleeping". " i'll need to get him inhibitors to stop it before he stabs someone" she grimaced .  " wait they can stop the claw coming out" bucky asked. " he won't be able to use his powers but when he older i can help him" she smiled softly . " but he ok" he asked . " yeah he's fine couple more days and he should be back to the luka we know and love" bruce sat finally the gravity of everything hitting him . " you ok" she asked already texting nat. " yeah the big guy wants to come out " he stood the green tinge . " not in here come on" she led him out the room . rushing him outside she was suddenly looking at the hulk . " kitten ok" he grunted . " i'm ok big guy" she said laughing. " hulk sorry" he said picking her up . " its ok " she said hugging or trying to hug the big giant . " hulk wants to meet baby" he said . " when he's better yes"she promised  as he put her down nat stood at the door smiling. " even hulk is a softy " she chuckled walking towards the two. " go i've got this" she nodded to the door.  " bye hulk" she called . 

when she walked into the room the all bucky was sitting small smill on his face but she could see the tear welled in his eyes.  she said nothing but walked to him as he head rested on her stomach  and his arms wrapped around her waist. " i was so scared" was all he said before breaking down .   she rubbed her hand through his hair letting him get it out . he's been worried but held everything in so he could take care of her. once it was all done and over it was like a dam breaking  and she just held him .  " no more med bay for this family for a while " she finally said earning a muffled laugh .  " i agree" he said turning his head to speak.   " we owe hulk a play date" she said . " is that good idea" he asked looking up at her. " i trust him , he just wants to meet luka himself" she nodded.  He knew she was right hulk could be gentle but still he was fearful of the idea of green giant holding his son . " i wanna be there" he said finally. " of course ". 

The two stayed in the room sleeping or barely sleeping as they watched over their sleeping child who began to finally stir.  she slapped the sleeping bucky who almost feel out of the chair . " mama , dada" his little voice croaky and dry making her kiss his head before handing him the bottle filled with water he happily drank  . " you gave up a scare little man" bucky smiled wrapping one hand around her waist as the other rubbed across his head.  she couldn't help but cry diving her head into his shoulder so luka couldn't see . this is whole thing made her rethink of more kids she couldn't bare to see another child in that pain again or feel that dread in her gut. She would wait til everything settle down before she and bucky had that talk it wasn't as important  luka was and he needed her now .
