A week she spent in med bay the drugs being main source of her to sleep . Between bruce and Dr. Cho checking her constantly . She lay in the Bed worried about going home to the compound  . She knew it was safe the logical part of her brain told her that but the irrational fear in her was winning.  It was like if went there the process would repeat they would take her and she would be in that same cell again . She shuddered to even think of it. Bucky took to the role of dad quickly not that he needed to change much of what he did before . He couldn't help smile even if he did wish it happened the normal way but in his life nothing was normal. It was funny to think  he had kid with woman he's not even seen naked or sleep with . Hell  luka was alive longer than he's known her .  It was strange life he's lead and even in the strange he had something good .  " what you thinking of handsome " she asked using it distract her from her own fears . " luka been alive longer than we've  know each other and yet he's ours " he couldn't help but laugh when he said it outloud . " yeah that's going to be fun telling him when he's older  which will freak him out more though that or fact his dad is like over 100 years old " he teased . " well how did you react when you found out " he quirked his brow . " I believe she said you've got to be shitting  me " logan stood at the door holding the a change of clothes for her .  " what do we do when we get home " she turned realising their situation was different . " well I mean if your comfortable with it I can move into your suite so can help with luka or we can swap nights with him I can get crib in my room " he offered . "I'm scared " she admitted suddenly.  " we'll  be ok doll  either way no need to rush anything , we can go at your pace  but no matter what I love you both  ok" little did he know thats not what she was scared of well she was but didn't think of that aspect  of going home . Logan looked at her face was same one she had when she was first rescue, he was looking at the scared 16 year old all over again . "  you've nothing to be afraid of kid the compound is safe no one will get you again, stryker is gone " he told her making it click in buckys head of what the problem is . "  your dad's right doll , home is safe for you  tony made sure there was extra safety installed ". " they got me there before what if they do it again " she look between then . " im staying  for while told stark already  , look I know you afraid but that is your home don't let them take your home " logan sat in front of her . " will you stay with me " she asked bucky . " as long as you want me too" he smiled kissing her head softly . " I think I can do it " she sighed still not sure of the idea.

As she pack her things  tony knock making her jump . " kitten Gabrielle husband is here , conference room then after we get you home  " he told her . " does he know who I am " she asked nerves making her stomach feel tense . " we told him  everything  and  speaking of everything I  stationed some of the iron legion to stay outside your room til you feel safer " he smiled softly. " and they say you don't have a heart."  " Don't tell them I do ruins my street cred " he joked .  " wow a whole 20 seconds of not being tony , new record " . "I'll take it " he shrugged as they laughed.  " honestly kitten the compound is more secure then  and  made TV in lounge way bigger " he informed her . " I think It's just nerves or something " she shrugged ." Its trauma and its ok , you've been dealt rough start in life kid and you knock it out of park each time  , I proud  to have you as my friend hell I'm proud your in this messed up family we made " he gave her quick hug .

She looked through the window of the conference  room they man looked so defeated . It must of been hard for him all these years . She thought of logan when she saw him it hurt her heart to know he went through this with her except he got the better result , he got her home . Buy if Gabrielle did go home would she of ever been ok . " Mr Santiago,  my name is Dr.Y/n howlet " she said smiling sadly. " it nice to finally  meet you " he tried his best to smile but his heart couldn't allow him . " I just wanted to meet you , your wife  meant the world to me from young age , she would read to me and make sure even in shitty place I was cared for " she cut straight to it . " she didn't even tell me she was working for that man " he shook his head . " stryker employed the best of best and sometimes not for the best , from memory  he threatened her alot  so I don't think she had a choice she did it to keep her family safe " she explained noticing the tears coming down the man's face . " you think so ". " I know so , she was a good hearted woman  , I thought they killed her first time she tried to escape with me I was 5 years old , she scooped me up in her arms and told me " princess we're  getting you out of here"  the first kindness I had know in the time I spent there then when I was taken the second time we spent weeks taking , she told me all about you and her parents and your daughter in first week you guys never left her mind  and second time she rescued me was when she died  , if it means anything the man that done it is now gone and will never hurt anyone again " she said wiping the tears on her face . " she really and forever be my hero " she added laying her hand on his . " that's alot coming from an avenger " he chuckled softly hiding the heartbreak . " if its ok  I would like to put her in the hero Hall of fame , it will be here in shield and she will be stated as such in future " she asked.  " really you'd do that ". " it what she deserves  and more  , tony stark is also  wiping your debt and paying for your daughters college fees " she told him . " that too much really " his face filled with shocked . " I owe her my life  it comes nothing to being too much " .  They sat and chatted for atleast three hours til tony told her it was time to go making her nervous . " everything OK,  I mean if it not too much to ask " Mr Santiago  asked . " I'm  scared of going back home" she sighed . " they can't hurt us anymore , make so many new memories that they out way the bad one " he stood giving her a warm hug before he left .
