Making it home again

The ride to in the jet wasn't as long as she needed . Her heart was in her throat when she stood off the jet . She stood frozen in her spot the voices around her muffled as her feet refused to move. All her mind could produce was the visual of stryker standing in the hallway staring at her . Deep breathes she pushed it too the side her feet finally allowing her to move . She could only see the bullet holes and not the new walls that were there . She could even hear the hulks roar instead of Bruce's calm voice .  She didn't realise she was shaking til she felt the arm around her shoulder . Snapping from her own fear their worried faces upon her . " take your own pace kitten " bruce said softly she turned to see it was his arm around her .  "  I keep seeing it all " she finally spoke hating how weak she sounded . She could admit to herself she didn't feel as safe without the phoenix and it was so strange she missed something she feared .  " we are here for you ok " he added . His soft calm aura wasn't even helping . But she thought of Mr Santiago's words . " make so many new memories they out way the bad " she repeated to herself . She stood forward and thought of the good . She was safe , not on the raft , she had her family . "Bucky " she looked at him carrying luka . " yes doll what do you need " he asked soft smile on his face . " to go to our suite " she stated making his whole face brighten . " come  on doll " he  held his hand out for her . They slowly walked through the halls she thought more good . She thought of the good thing on that faithful day . Like luka not being there. She was really greatful for that fact . She though of her instincts being on and to trust them and they sensed no danger . She needed to hold on to that . It didn't get rid of the fear but it did help in a sense .

She stood outside the door to  the suite slightly proud of herself for getting that far . "  lets give them space " nat said ushering the rest away as the three walked in . Luka started fussing clearly over  buckys attention wanting his mom's instead . " ouch little man " he chuckled as she took him giving him a big cuddle releasing the breathe she didn't realise she was holding .  " mama " he giggled pulling anything he could grab in his excited grasp .   This was what she needed . She never understood a bond between a mother and child  til she first seen luka , he had her a goner the minute she put her hand on him . She wished she got to do it the normal sense way but even then she wouldn't change a thing . " steve and sam  going to help me late move my things over when lukas in bed thats if you haven't changed your mind  " he kissed her temple . " of course I haven't I can't explain it but it feels like it's right " she tried to explain.  " I know what you mean doll , I love you both so much " he said holding his little family in his arm. 

" any idea of how we can make this place more home for kitten " tony asked around the room as he and  the rest of team sat in the lounge .  As they all sat and thought hard .  Til Nat sat up straighter she felt like idiot for not thinking of it before . " when we were in the red room  the only thing she loved to do was ballet it was like calm in the chaos but when we were at  shield she watched the piano player  and it was more serene  " she said . " she used to play back when she lived with us too it gave her the calm in the storm sort of feeling , the professor  thought her in like 3 days " logan agreed . " old gym  it's not in use " steve pointed out.  " well then let's go " tony clapped as they made there way to their task. " found the piano be delivered in 2 hours "pepper beamed . "  the gym mirrors in  there are perfect as the are  just clean them up " nat smiled.  " I can make a balance bar like in studio " peter spoke up . " ok avengers and claws assemble " tony called out. 

She felt the fear slowly melted away as she cuddle up  with the man she loved while their baby boy had his nap . She placed herself in his lap  cuddling  close not being able to in admittedly awhile . " this is better " she  smiled as she lay her head on his shoulder . "  I missed this " he hands rubbing her  leg looking down at her face the cuts and bruise nearly gone small bit of weight returning . She was still beautiful there was never time she wasn't beautiful  in his eyes. " how the hell did I get so lucky " he asked loudly. " I mean helps your like Greek god incarnate and could make a nun sin but your also a sweetheart and not a dick anymore " she stated . " not a dick that is a good one" he chuckled ." Hey I mean at start you kinda where called me spoiled brat " she countered . "  your still a brat but I can fix that  " he tease making her face heat up .  " I call defamation of character " she giggled.  The same giggle that made his heart sing that first day . " shh I still love you " he chuckled  holding her tightly .  " oh thank you for putting up with the mutant brat all hail the might sargent James buchanan barnes we are not worthy " she snorted as she bowed .  " but seriously I'm the lucky one I end up scoring big with the most beautiful  caring , funny, smart and smart ass  woman "  he held her face kissing every part of it with each word .  The on que the little yelling on mama and giggles coming through the monitor . " he gonna be a mama's boy isn't he " he asked. " he already is buckaroo " she smirked jumping off his lap . 

" ok good job on the balance bar underoo " tony pointed out . " stark did you have to get a piano that weighed more  than a hippo " sam grunted helping them place it down  . " yes yes I did  , it's for kitten so shut up and be careful with it " he rolled his eyes .  "  she gonna love this " nat smiled looking around . " I sent happy to grab last few bits should be back soon " pepper informed them sitting eating her snack as tony wouldn't let her do much giving her little bump starting to appear . " ok leads we know if avengers don't work out we could always do renovation  " wanda joked . " seriously thought hope this help that poor girl has been through too much " scott stopped and really took it in  as they all nodded in agreement . " well let's hurry it up because its nearly time for dinner " nat clapped . They heard the door opening standing still but relaxed seeing happy with flowers and boxes in his hand . " still more in car " he said before pepper could sass him . " I'll get it " pietro zoomed out room the blur came and went as more flowers and boxes appeared .  " ok so what I need this go is here " pepper stood pointing to each part of the room instructing so it would look perfect  as team took each item and began with their task .
