They walked through the compound heart beating heavy in there chests as they seen the debris and bullet holes . Mixture of bullets and tranquilliser darts littered the floors in there wake . Bucky heart crushed at the news ready to turn the world upside down  to get her back .Steve had to stop him few times from looking for her on his own . Fury got Maria to bring luka to safe house where pepper and happy were waiting for him but he could see on the toddlers face all he wanted was his momma .  He couldn't see the devastation on  teams face but he was dreading seeing logans .  This was going to kill him more than anything  his worst fears seem to become realities lately . He only hoped they got to her before phoenix fulfilled its promise .

She groaned as she began to wake up her eyes adjusting to the dim lights , a scent she knew all to well filled her nostrils making her heart sink . They got her. " welcome home X-22 " his voice sent shivers down her spine and her stomach turn . " my name is Y/N " she spat her eyes searching for the voice . Their eyes connected the only satisfaction  she could have in the moment was he looked worse for wear searching and planning to get her took its toll on him. More prominent wrinkles spread across his face ,dark circles under his eyes , his hair thinning silver and white . " stryker  I will give you one warning and one warning only let me go " she growled . " yeah not going to happen kid see what is going to happen is what you were made for maybe hydra will help in the case of wiping you mutant scum of the earth too , maybe we can get daddy dearest too " his smug smile. " you have no idea if the team don't get you , the phoenix will " she laughed . " phoenix died long ago  with mommy darling but nice try " he chuckled . She felt the weight around her neck and knew instantly it was seeing as her powers would not work or the claws to come out . "  see we have the perfect specimen for the project too " he shrugged making her blood run cold she knew exactly what he wad talking about . " then after we will give you the soldier treatment  you will become the perfect weapon again , don't you miss how you cut them like butter " he taunted . " only one to get the luxury were hydra officials and some of your own men  , you know they will come looking for me and when they do  you won't see the raft stryker that's too good for you no you will feel your skin feel like butter as I put you down like the mangey dog you are " she smirked . " put her sleep we need to move her " he dismissed . Before she could say more she felt the bang and the world go black. " move her to the cell let her meet her roommate " he ordered earning . The agent lifted her limp body up and took his exit walking down the halls  he nodded to passing agents before he stopped outside the cell . " back against the wall now " he ordered . As he opened the door as the woman was facing the wall shaking with terror . " got you a friend an avenger no less " he teased  dropping Y/N on the mattress . " you animals " the woman spat running toward  the passed out girl . " your the animals you enhanced mutants but soon you fulfilled hydra promise " he snickered . " I won't do it again " she cried . " like you have a choice " was all he said before the cell doors shut and she fell to the floor sobbing as she tried to wake the new prisoner .

" stark the jets landing " nat called earning everyone's head to raise . The rest of team had arrived a hour earlier all sitting around assessing the damage of their home and the loss of their family member .  The jet hit the tarmac as they stood around  the doors barely opening before logan charged out . " HOW  COULD YOU LET THIS HAPPEN?" His voice filled with anger and misery.  " we were ambushed " was all Toby could say . " logan it is not their faults " the professor exited the jet followed by colossus,  rogue , storm and beast all heartbroken and worried faces filled with anger . "  will you just get out " clint groaned from inside the jet . " what if they don't like me , does this suit make me look fat " the familiar voice rang out. " wade get out here " storm rolled her eyes . " hey earth's mightiest heroes big fan , now who we fucking up " the merk with the mouth skipped out of the jet . The thumping in her head  and stickiness  on her head was lovely reminder of where she was as she woke . She began feeling the device around her neck feeling for some sort of latch or release mechanism.  " its useless " the womans voice caught her off guard . She looked up to see the frail almost skeletal woman sitting in corner staring at a puddle on the floor . " there's no way to get it off unless you have the remote " she said finally looking toward her. " what's your name " Y/N asked  . The poor woman looked like she was here for years maybe even decades . " you don't remember me do you " she smiled sadly . " should I " . " not really your were only a baby when we met " . The realisation hitting her as she looked in the womans eyes . " it can't be you died , stryker shot you " Y/n gasped looking at the doctor who tried to save her all those years ago . " I wish he did , but nope patched me up and sold me hydra fucker put me in cryo til I was needed " she replied dryly . " my family will come for us  they're avengers and xmen " Y/N reassured her . " you know the xmen " the woman asked suddenly overtook in her emotion. " yeah my dad's one of them " . " have you seen my son I escaped with him a 2 months ago left him with them , have you seen my luka " she pleaded rushing to her cellmate . " I kind of adopted luka  wow real full circle moment " she felt her heart split . " you know they  used your dna to help make him it like the universe is playing sick joke " the woman scoffed . " who you telling and how did they use my dna " Y/N asked . " they used one of your eggs I was the incubator " her demeanour  was just that of lost soul . " well when we get out we can sort it out so we both can be in his life together " she sighed sadly . " I'd like that , I never got to introduce my self my name is Gabriella " the woman smiled weakly . " Y/n " she nodded the universe truly was a sick son of a bitch .
