Making it work

When they got to the jet the put  in restraints knowing it was to keep him safe from himself .  as he roused from his sleep they stood watching him . " mom" he asked fear in his eyes . " its me" she said coming to his side. " i thought i killed you.. wait why are these on me" he asked looking at the cuffs . " to make sure you didn't get hurt ... it's him take them off" she said  as tony threw her the keys. "  you found me , how" he asked rubbing his wrists .  " evie she is a clever clogs " she smirked . " you have evie" he asked almost relieved . " and luka , we found evie  it how we found out about you actually" she said sadly. " gabriella always told me the truth she said she was just watching us til she got us back to you". " she is my hero that's for sure , i'm sorry it took so long " she held her hand out for him to take if he wanted to  which he did. " you know you are like your dad its sort of weird" she chuckled. " is  he still around" he asked not seeing how bucky throat bobbed at his words . " yeah he is that's him"  she waved bucky over.  " hey kid erm im your dad " he said clearing his throat .  it was moments like this she knew how her dad felt that day she was rescued  but it gave her some peace knowing adam was going to be ok just like she was .  " where is eve and luka" he asked them . " with friends so we come get you" she smiled rubbing small circles in his thumb .   " we landing in wakanda in an hour" clint called out. " is that were we live"  he asked but their faces fell. " actually me and you are going to stay here for bit buddy get those trigger words out , its not going to hurt and you wont ever have to fear them again i went through it too then we can go home " he smiled sadly ." i'll call all the time i promise and evie and luka will be waiting when you get home " she sniffled she didn't want this to happen but it sadly needed to .  " will i hurt anyone else" . " never  we will keep you three safe  i promise plus when  you guys get back i think is the right time for me and this fossil get married " she said catching everyone's attention with her words . " wait really" bucky smiled brightly.  " whats a better way to celebrate our family than becoming a official one " she shrugged.   " you got it doll" he kissed her lips making the boy grimace in front of them. " why did she call you a fossil" adam asked . " he like 107 years old" nat called making the boy eyes widen . " i'll explain it later" bucky smiled unsurely how he was going to explain it all . 

Her eyes looked at the beautiful landscape of wakanda everything here looked brighter.  the dora milaje bid her farewell , as shuri gave her warm hug . the team gave bucky and adam a hug goodbye for they all gave them space.  " i'll miss you both " she said holding them tightly again her kissing their cheeks as tears fell down hers .  " i'll call all the time i promise , i'll keep you updated , let evie and luka know i love them " bucky kissed her face before kissing her lips.  " i will and when you are feeling better i will ring you every day ok , evie and luka will ring too" she cried to adam . " i'll be ok mom" he said not knowing what else to say or do . " just promise he will be ok " she asked bucky. " he will be" bucky said before  she headed to the jet the sobs caught in her throat not wanting them to see her break .  once the doors closed she fell but before she hit the floor she looked up to see steve holding her up and close to his chest letting her know she wasn't going to go through this alone . one by one the team came over adding to the embrace even wade kept his mouth shut .   with family like this she knew they would make it work . 

a week after she said goodbye in wakanda bucky kept his word and updated her on adam . he was in the cryo-chamber  now and showing progress thus fair. evie and luka would pop their head on the screen hearing bucky voice .  they missed him so much evie spent the first week crying for her daddy and wanting him home , even demanding bucky to come home or she wouldn't be his friend anymore. luka was more cranky too but they would eventually get used to it she told them it was to help their brother and when they got back they would prepare for a big party. the first month was up and down with emotions from the kids and y/n then second month it wasn't too bad by the third they got into a routine of the phone calls even luka was starting to look forward to them even thought he didn't fully understand. they team did stick to their word helping her out wanda and nat stayed every friday even steve slept on the couch in her suite  , she left moving into the apartment til  they were altogether.  she  even began talking wedding detail some nights with bucky on the phone . she wished and willed for time to speed up so they would be home , she wanted her family back together. But she knew once they were it was going to finally be happily ever after .
