Awake

As her eyes flutter open she sat up rubbing her eyes to get them to focus . She felt exhausted  . She felt like an outsider in her body as phoenix took over then everything hit her at once .  The betrayal of thinking max was this poor little boy needing to be saved but no  He was a man trying to take  her and it  made her stomach turn.  She had left him sleep with her and luka  . Feeling mix of everything she looked around her room seeing bucky and logan asleep slumped in chairs around her  . " hey sleepy heads " she smiled softly making their eyes shoot open before she could say anymore logan grabbed her in his arms and hugged her tightly . " hey i was so worried kiddo " . " im ok we have a deal in place so I'm ok " she repeated more for herself than him . " scared shit out of me kid " he looked her eyes it was like he was searching  . " it's really me " she told him seemly knowing . " hey  doll how you feeling " bucky stood . "  tired but it was scary I thought he was going to take the kids  or luka " she explained . " strange and wong are still here I know you wanted to meet him " he smiled softly . " I need a shower first and I'll see everyone ". " ok we will be at breakfast take your time " logan told her before leaving .  Bucky stood at door  he wanted to say so much more but all that came out was " i'm glad you're back " before leaving .
After her shower she made her way to the dinning room hearing the sound of crying and someone trying to calm them down . " hey little man " she called making lukas head shoot up sniffling as he held his arm out to her . " he's not shape-shifter is he " she joke but was kinda half serious . " no definitely a baby " the professor told her calmly . " hello it good to see you up " a man spoke standing up.  " you must be Stephen strange and you must be wong , I can't thank you both enough " she smiled brightly making wong blush . " our pleasure dr.howlett " strange nodded before taking his seat . " soooo other than possession and that what else did I miss " she asked taking luka in her arms rocking him gently  . "  nat , bruce and loki left last night we will see them when we get home Sunday " steve smiled unsurely. " steve I'm ok I know the risk now and will listen more  i won't fight on the bodyguards or babysitting anymore " she smiled softly kissing luka head .  " well good we dont like losing family " he looked at her pointedly.  " ok ok  enough  of the sappy shit " she rolled her eyes playfully . " yeah definitely Y/n  to kill the moment " rogue snorted .  " sorry i get awkward " she defended .   " well  me and wong need to get back to the sanctum  " stephen stood nodded and left . " sorry he's not great at goodbye " wong apologised waving before he left .

the day she was told to rest while logan roped steve and bucky into helping with his gym class. she felt bored after awhile  staring at daytime tv filled with lie detector tests mayhem and cheating spouses got old quick .  while she tried and failed to help in the others many lessons  being  moved out of the rooms each time .  she was going stir crazy pacing back and forth down the hall  looking for something to do  till she decided to sit in  living room reading  til colossus came in with luka asking her to watch him . they all tried taking shifts but he wouldn't settle at all for anyone.  starting to find some peace and something to do well that was til he had a nap and she went back to reading . by dinner she had giving the cooks the time off making dinner just to fill her time  singing and dancing to luca keeping him entertained fully too much fun when he started making things float around him . what she did know what the audience she had standing at the door . logan and steve sharing knowing glances as bucky looked lovestruck .  After the whole hydra situation he never thought of a domestic life or the white picket dream til lately he craved it . " stop looking at my kid like that " logan joked ." like what " he turned to the two of them . " like your gonna get her pregnant by a look " steve answered making bucky face heat up . " shut up you two , i wasn't " he stepped back hitting off the door startling the performance . " ok so how much of that did you see " she asked them . " if you ever quit being a scientist , you can be a star baby " logan chuckled ." ha ha very funny but i think luka like it " she stuck her tongue out at them .  " want some help bring dinner out " logan still laughing with his offer .  " well since your not doing anything sure " she smile putting food on platter .
