Later on, walking down the halls, Sereia and the others are still dejected about Briar and Grim, how they've been taken and there is a high possibility they might not be able to come back. Ruggie and the others are there as well.
Ruggie says, sounding annoyed, "Man...Why'd Leona have to put ME in charge? Talk about drawing the short straw."
"It means the Roi des Lions has great faith in you, Monsieur Dent-de-Lion. The dorm is his pride—he knows he can trust you with it," Rook says, trying to lift Ruggie's spirit.
But Ruggie says, "Yeah, well, trust doesn't fill an empty stomach. There better be some T-bone steaks in it for me later, or it won't be worth it!"
"Yes, I suppose so. Yet another reason we need them to make it back safe and sound," Rook says.
Suddenly, the group hears rapid footsteps and looks to see Jack Howl rushing over.
He calls out, "Ruggie! I got your text. What's this about Leona getting kidnapped by the guys who attacked the school?!"
"You pretty much summed it up right there," Ruggie says, "I need to round up everyone in the dorm and check in with 'em. Could you give me a hand?"
"Oh, sure. Happy to," Jack says.
Jack soon notices Sereia and the others, "Hey guys, why are you all banged up? Did they beat you guys up too?"
"We're okay, just a few scratches," Sereia says.
Trinket nods in reply.
"We're alright, just banged up," Tanzanite says.
Jasper says, "Wish we can say the same for Briar, Grim, and the others..."
Then Rook explains, "The NRC Tribe members were together at Ramshackle when it occurred. We were in the midst of an SDC postmortem when they attacked us. Vil, Jamil, and Grim were all taken just as Leona was."
Jack is shocked to hear it as well ,"They got Vil and Jamil, too?!"
"And the freshmen that tried to rescue Grim were gravely injured," Rook says.
"And they ended up taking Briar too?" Tanzanite says.
Jack becomes more shocked to hear it, "What?! They... they took Briar too?!"
And hearing the recklessness, Jack says in frustration, "Argh, why are those guys so reckless?"
"I must return to my dorm and fulfill my duties as vice housewarden, but..." Rook replies.
And then says, "Monsieur Fier-à-bras. Would you be so kind as to go with Sereia and company to check up on our injured comrades in the infirmary?"
"That would actually help me too. You can see if any students from our dorm are there," Ruggie says.
"Got it. I'll be in touch once I know more," Jack says.
Then turns to Sereia and the others, "Let's go."
The Ramshackle group nod their heads in agreement and follow Jack to the infirmary.
Sometime later, the group walks to the infirmary.
Jack opens the door, "Excuse us, coming in."
The group is about to enter inside.
However, they are stopped by a familiar voice, "STAY! Sorry, all beds are occupied. Write your names on that paper and then wait in your dorm. The nurse will attend to you later..."
That someone is Crewel.
He notices the group's condition, "Wait, you're all perfectly business do you have here?"
