Riddle soon fights off the Phantom, but during the fight, he ends up getting hurt in the process. Tanzanite and Azul manage to help the Phantom until it dissolves into a puddle.
Riddle lets out a sigh of exhaustion, "Whew... We fended them off."
But Azul points out, "Riddle, you got hurt defending me!"
"It's just a scratch. Nothing to worry about," Riddle says.
"Are you sure? That Phantom caught us off guard," Tanzanite says.
But Riddle says, "Do not worry, I'll be fine."
But then Azul says, "You shouldn't have done that it get caught off guard, it's my responsibility to deal with it."
"I would argue that the responsibility ultimately lies with me as the group leader," Riddle says. "But more to the point, simply cannot allow you to sustain any heavy injuries."
Soon, Azul grows frustrated and says, ""This again?! As I said before, I'm not so weak as to require your protection!"
"Why are you getting so worked up? It's unlike you," Riddle says.
But Azul shouts at him, "I just want you to stop treating me like dead weight!" catching Riddle off guard.
Azul continues, "Look, I know you became housewarden as soon as you enrolled, and that you're smart enough to stay at the top of our class. But those are just status symbols. They only matter at Night Raven College.
"...Excuse me?" Riddle questions.
Azul then says, "The moment you set foot off campus... Your titles become merely decorative, like a fancy pocket square. That's especially true in life-threatening situations like this. you and I are equals here. So don't want to hear any more of your high-handed orders!" and then storms off without another word.
"Azul, you can't just run off like that! There's another containment facility up ahead..." Riddle shouts, "Wait!" and chases after them.
Tanzanite says, "H-hey, wait for me."
He follows the others as well.
