Chapter 11: Storming the Garden

Riddle, Silver, and Sebek try to use their magic the best they can to defeat the mysterious suited men and to protect the students.

Sebek struggles, "Rgh... I've hit them with loads of spells, but they remain undaunted!"

"Maybe their equipment nullifies magic. This doesn't bode well for us..." Silver says.

But one of the suited men charges up the device, "Technomantic capture beam fully charged. Firing."

And with that, the suited man zaps at Riddle.

Causing him to scream in agony, "AAAUGH!" and he falls to the ground.

Silver cries out, "Riddle!"

"RIDDLE!" Sebek cries out.

Fallen on the ground, Riddle struggles to get up, "Gah... I think I'm...paralyzed...grk..."

Seeing Riddle down, one of the suited men says, "Subject A subdued. Securing now."

However, Riddle struggles as he gets back on his feet.

He then lets out a scream of rage, "YEAAARGH!" and fire bursts out as his face turns red.

The men quickly step back.

One of them says, "Target has resumed hostile activity. All personnel, fall back."

"You brought me to my knees... YOU HAVE SOME NERVE!" Riddle screams in full rage, "I'LL HAVE ALL OF YOUR HEADS FOR THIS!"

And unleashes his Fire Magic with full rage.

The suited man says as he charges up for another blast, "Technomantic capture beam fully recharged. Firing."

And then fires the device at Riddle, giving out a powerful electric charge.

Riddle cries out, "AAUGH!" and falls to the ground, "Guh... Argh..." and soon falls unconscious.

Then the two suited men pick up the unconscious Riddle, and he's barely moving.

One of the suited men says, "Target is subdued. Securing and returning to HQ."

Sebek rushes over and demands, "WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?! WHERE ARE YOU TAKING RIDDLE?!"

"STOP!" Silver cries out. But quickly notices something, "...Hm?! Sebek, look at the sky. There are more of them flying around the school!"

Sebek looks up in the sky in shock to see multiple of these suited men in hovercrafts and some are leaving the campus.

Silver turns to Sebek, "It seems to me they were after Riddle from the start."

"I concur," Sebek says, "They referred to him as the 'subject' from the moment they landed, and barely gave us a second glance."

And soon a realization of concern hit them, "Ah!"

"Are they targeting all the housewardens?!" Sebek asks, shocked.

"Hard to say, but we'd better get back to Diasomnia right away," Silver says.

"Malleus, please be safe!" Sebek says.

And with that, the two head back towards the Diasomnia Dorm to check if Mallues is okay.

Meanwhile, at the Botanical Garden's Temperate Zone.

Ruggie is searching for Leona as he calls out, "Leonaaa. I know you're in here. Your History of Magic report was due today, and ONCE AGAIN you failed to turn it in. Professor Trein almost burst a blood vessel. Now he's on MY case, telling me to bring you in. Think about what you're putting ME through!"

Suddenly, they hear whooshing and crashing sounds.

Ruggie quickly looks up, "Huh?! What was that?!"

And soon, there is a sound of glass shattering from the garden structure.

Ruggie yelps, "Ack! The glass ceiling's coming down!"

Suddenly, a magical sound appears and the glass gently falls towards the ground with ease.

"...Or not?" Ruggie replies dumbfounded.

Just then, Leona walks over, "C'mon Ruggie. You're a sophomore. You should know how to insta-cast a barrier by now."

"Leona!" Ruggie reacts in surprise and turns to see Leona.

Suddenly, the same group of suited men flies down towards the ground.

One of the suited men says, "Penta Team, reporting in. We've got eyes on Subject B. Moving in for capture."
