Chapter 35: All Alone

Meanwhile, in the private room, Grim is sleeping in the bed, without knowing where Briar and the others are.

Grim replies in his sleep, "Mmm... Myah... Lemme go... Ack!" And quickly wakes up in shock.

He looks around in shock, "Where am I?"

He then tries to think, "Let's see... I remember SDC wrappin' up. Then later that night I got hungry... And I..."

Just then, the flashback of the night of the SDC wrapping up appears in his mind.

Flashback:

Grim turns around with a frightening face, "Who's there?! Grrr... This is MY stone!"

Before Briar can react, Grim begins to throw slashes with his claws as Briar screams. Grim ends up badly scratching Briar's right hand and Briar falls to the ground.

Grim roars, "RAAAWR!"

Then Grim runs off, leaving Briar behind.

Flashback Ends:

Remember that night has Grim in shock, "Why did I do that to Briar? Is that why I'm here? 'Cuz I scratched Briar up?"

But then another memory appears in his mind.

The group look in shock to see who is inside the cage, as the prisoner screams, "LEMME OOOUT! GET ME OUTTA HEEERE!"

"GRIM?!" Briar cries out.

Seeing his friends, Grim cries out, "Briar! Sereia! Tanzanite! Jasper! Trinket! Ace! Deuce!

One of the men says, "Mission complete. Tetra Team, returning to HQ. We'll secure Subject H."

The ones who have Vil and Jamil prepare to take their leave, and some are preparing to leave with Grim. However, some of the suited men are staying.

"They're taking 'em away!" Epel says, shocked.

He then shouts, "HEY! GET BACK HERE!" and rushes to the rescue.

"Let them go!" Briar says, and follows after them.

Deuce does the same, "Hold on, Grim! I'll save you!"

"Dude, Vil JUST told us to stay back!" Ace calls out.

But gets frustrated, "...OH, FOR CRYIN' OUT LOUD!"

"We can't just stand there. We need to do something," Jasper says.

"I agree. We have to save them, and we need to do it now," Tanzanite says.

And with that, the freshman charge towards the suited men to fight them off and rescue their fellow students and friend trapped in the cage.

But soon after that...

One of them zaps Briar, causing her to scream, "AAAUGH!" And ends up falling unconscious.

"Briar!" Tanzanite and Jasper cry out.

The others end up losing all their energy and end up being defeated.

"Argh... Didn't stand...a chance... Urgh-" Ace says in pain and collapses.

Deuce feels the same, "Urgh... Guh!" and collapses on the ground.

"Dag...nabbit..." Epel says before collapsing.

And soon, everyone has fallen unconscious on the ground, except for Trinket and Sereia, who are desperately trying to wake them up.

One of the suited men, then says, "Subject H subdued. Securing now." and walks over to pick up the unconscious Briar as her necklace falls off her neck.

Grim desperately shakes the bars of his cage, "Lemme out! I don't wanna go! Let go of Briar! Help!"

And soon enough, one by one, the suited men take their leave, taking Briar, Jamil, Vil, and Grim with them.

Sereia cries out, "GRIM! BRIAR! NOOOOOO!"

Kalim cries out, "VIL! JAMIIIL!"

Flashback Ends:

Grim is shocked to remember what happened, "They were all beat up. And Briar was... was taken away too...

And begins to shed tears, "Ace, Deuce, Epel, Jasper, Tanzanite, Sereia, Trinker.... Briar... Am I never goin' back home to Ramshackle?" And sniffles as he begins to cry.
