Meanwhile, in Tower 2 of Tartarus, Leona, and Jasper are making their way down there. As they begin to walk down, they hear Phantom moaning.

"It goes down so far, I can't see the bottom...." Jamil says.

"You can say that again," Jasper says.

"So they decided to call this place Tartarus? I wonder how many stories deep it is," Jamil says.

"It's so hard to tell," Jasper says, looking down and squinting his eyes.

Then Leona says, "It goes 12 sectors down, but the map doesn't specify how many stories are in a sector. Hey. Gimme one of your pointless jingly hair things."

"Hm? Oh, sure," Jamil says, and gives Leona one of his accessories.

Then Leona possesses the platform and the three watch as it goes down, down down, into the pit.

"... I can't hear it hitting the ground. It's gotta be more than 50 stories," Leona says.

"That's a long way down..." Jasper says.

With a frown on his face, Jamil asks, "Was it really necessary to use one of MY belongings for that?"

"No one forced you to hand it over," Leona points out, "It was just some tiny thing; no need to whine about it."

"Me, whine?" Jamil questions, "Oh, I wouldn't dream of doing that. It's an honor to be of service to you, Leona."

Leona scoffs, "Hmph. I don't buy that shady smile for a second."

"Anyway, I believe our first order of business is to retrieve the Thunder Spear," Jamil says.

"It's in the hangar in sector six, right?" Leona says.

Jamil looks at the map, ""According to the map, there should be an elevator nearby..."

"You mean like that one over there," Jasper points out.

Leona and Jamil look to where Jasper is looking to see the mirror.

"Ah, here it is," Jamil says.

"Normally I'd expect them to shut down the elevators to keep intruders out..." Leona says.

And suddenly, the elevator doors open. The three look at the elevator door with a serious expression.

"Well that was unexpected," Jasper says.

That door opened the moment we walked up to it. Like it was waiting for us. Like we're being taunted," Leona says.

Most definitely. Ortho's got control of this whole facility. This is almost guaranteed to be a trap. Given the danger, you should stay behind me and-" Jamil says.

But Leona says, "Let's go." and walks ahead.

"Yeah. It's beat sitting around, Jasper says, and follows Leona.

Jamil notices them walking ahead, "Huh? Leona, Jasper, wait! Don't just take off like that!"

The three walk inside the elevator and it suddenly closes behind them.

And right on cue, Ortho's hologram appears, "Hey guys! Welcome to Tower 2 of Tartarus, the cursed containment facility!"

"And here he is, right on cue," Jamil says.

"Aww, what kind of reaction was that? I was hoping for a little more surprise," Ortho says, disappointed.

"Yeah, well, it's not hard for us humans to predict how a robot thinks," Leona says in remark.

"Heh... A robot, eh?" Ortho replies, I guess that means I'll just have to do better next time. Of course... That's assuming there IS a next time."

"What?" Jamil questions.

Then Ortho asks, "Do you three have what it takes to overcome my trial?"

"A trial, huh?" Leona questions.

"What's he going to do?! Get back, Leona!" Jamil says.

"Go back where, Jamil?" Jasper questions.

"The shrimp is right, dude. There's nowhere to "get back" to in this cramped elevator. You need to chill," Leona says.

"Hey, I'm not a shrimp, this is a normal size for a dwarf," Jasper points out.

Then Jasper asks, "So what's this trial you're talking about anyway?"

"TA-DA!" Ortho announces.

Then makes a projection of the video game 'The Hydra Strikes Back'

"Hm? It's a projection of The Hydra Strikes Back," Jamil says.

"That's the stupid game you made me play earlier," Leona adds.

"A video game?" Jasper questions.

"Yup! Ortho happily says, "This will be your first trial. You must beat The Hydra Strikes Back!" If you win the game, I'll grant you the privilege of challenging us."

"He's breaking out a video game right now? What's his angle?" Jamil says, looking at it suspiciously.

Then says, "I'll play it, Leona.

"What? Why you?" Leona asks.

"There's non telling what kind of traps this game's been rigged with. It would be ill-advised to just blunder in," Jamil says.

"Look, it's just a stupid game," Leona points out.

"We can't be too careful. What if the controller is rigged to electrify anyone who touches it?" Jamil says.

"Like Ortho would do something like that," Jasper says.

Ortho sighs, "Geeze, talk about paranoid. I wouldn't do anything that nasty."

Leona huffs, "Whatever. If you wanna play it so bad, I'm not gonna stop you."

"Then the player will be Jamil Viper? I can't wait to see how you do. Let's start the game!" Ortho says.

And with that, Jamil picks up the control and the game begins.
