The group soon walks into the next containment facility.
"Well, what's he got up his sleeve this time?" Vil questions.
The group remains quiet as they wait for something to happen. However, nothing happened.
"Nothing seems to be happening," Sereia says.
"You're right. It seems really quiet in here," Briar says.
Trinket nods her head in reply.
"Perhaps he's no longer in a position to play games with us," Vil says.
It's possible. This silence is most unsettling. The Phantoms in the cages are showing no signs of activity either," Rook says.
"What if we just blasted through the door with the Thunder Spear?" Epel suggests.
"We could, but the Thunder Spear is our trump card," Vil says, "As long as there's a chance we could face the Titan again, we don't want to play it prematurely. Plus, there's only one path here. If we don't lock up the facility when we leave... The Phantoms are likely to break out of their cages and attack us from behind."
"Oh, yeah, good point..." Epel replies.
"The researchers gave us an emergency manual with our map," Vil says, and looks at it, "And according to the manual... There's an emergency key card stored in a security box within the facility. Assuming Ortho hasn't rigged this place with one of his pranks, it could still be here."
"Then let us check for it," Rook says.
Soon, the gang begins to search around.
Rook says to himself, "Where could that security box be...." and finds it, but is shocked, "Ah! Vil, look!"
Vil rushes over and is shocked to see the condition of the security box, "The box is destroyed, and its contents have been removed."
"Maybe Ortho got here first after all," Epel replies, but then says, "Then again... it looks kinda like some giant beast just smashed it. And there are gashes on the box, with blot all around them..."
"Which means, there's a strong possibility of who attacked the box," Briar says.
"So did a Phantom steal the key?" Vil questions.
"We've encountered one smart enough to disguise itself as a human to try and deceive us," Rook says, "Perhaps this one wants to use the key and get out of this room."
Briar looks around, "I don't see a Phantom, though... And none of the cages look like they're open."
"Wait... Do you think it's hiding and watching us?" Epel replies, shocked.
"Possibly. It could be waiting to catch us unawares and take us down before it escapes," Vil says.
"I fear our only option is to check the cages one by one," Rook says.
"We're at a clear disadvantage, considering we're the ones out in the open," Vil says.
Then turns to the others, "Epel. Girls. Stay behind me."
"Yes, sir! We've got your back!" Epel says.
"We will," Briar says.
"Okay," Sereia says.
"...Let's move," Vil says.
