With the Thunder Spear charged up, Riddle, Azul, and Tanzanite are ready to fire it at Ortho.
The three voices let out a battle cry, "HRAAAGH!"
Soon, the power of the Thunder Spear is unleashed and strikes at Ortho with full force.
Ortho screams, "AAAUGH!"
"ORTHO!" Idia exclaims in shock.
This makes Idia angry and his blow fire turns to flaming red and orange.
He screams in rage, "Blast... How DARE you peons treat Ortho like that!"
"We did it! Direct hit!" Azul cheers.
"We managed to stop Ortho!" Tanzanite says.
Suddenly, Riddle heavily breathes, "Hopefully that should buy everyone some time."
"Yes..." Azul says, but is shocked to see Riddle, "My word!"
The two boys turn to notice that Riddle looks very weak, and his hair is all white.
Even Tanzanite is shocked, "Riddle... your... your hair!"
"Huh? What about it?" Riddle asks, feeling so weak, "What's going..on..." And collapses on the ground.
"Riddle!" Tanzanite exclaims.
The boys rush over and kneel to him.
Azul cries out, "Stay with us!"
Suddenly, they hear Idia say, "Hoo boy. That's what happens when living people get too close to the Underworld —that is, to Ortho."
"What?!" Azul and Tanzanite say in shock.
Then Idia says, "Living people can't go through the gate to the Underworld. C'mon, you can't be that stupid. Just put two and two together.
'No...!" Azul says, shocked.
Tanzanite says, "We gotta warn the other!"
"Right," Azul says.
He brings out the transceiver and says, "Leona! Vil! This is Azul. You can't get too close to Ortho, and by extension the Underworld! It's too dangerous! Riddle's hair has gone white, and he's lost consciousness."
"What?! What's going on, Azul?" Vil asks, through the receiver.
"The closer you get to them, the more of our life they can siphon off. They make us grow old!" Azul says.
Everyone from their end is shocked to hear it.
"We've exhausted our Thunder Spear's battery and our magical reserves. Our blot tolerance is at its limit, too. We have to bow out now. The rest is up to you all!" Azul says.
