Chapter 30

Ok so this is me completely forgetting to add Mechamaru back into the story, so just pretend it happened ig ;-;

Nagito P.O.V.

It was the day after the trial, and I had surprisingly gotten three hours of sleep! I felt accomplished.

I made my way to the restaurant after the Monokuma Announcement. There didn't seem to be much talk this morning, probably due to about half of us being gone. I decided not to say anything either, because I knew that whatever I had to say would just make them mad.

The one good thing about that morning (or rather, the one thing that wasn't all that boring) was Monomi telling us a new island had opened up.

We all shortly made our way to the fourth island after that to investigate. It seemed to have a theme park vibe to it, and it had lots of different attractions. There was a roller coaster, a so called "horror house", which turned out to be where Monomi lived, and a funhouse.

After exploring, we all decided to ride the roller coaster, since if we did, we would gain a very special piece of information.

The ride was... fast, and I honestly would rather not do it again. Definitely not my forte.

"Welp... Here ya' kiddos go!" Monokuma said after we got off the ride. He handed us a small book. Hajime was the one who took it. As he opened it, I noticed two things right away. One, Hope's Peak Academy was one of the many pictures in the book. Two... Among lots of other portraits, there was one of him.

Byakuya Togami.

He appeared lots more skinnier than when we last saw him. He was practically a twig in this picture. Maybe it's way before he got so large? No, he looks about the same age... I don't think that's the case.

I continued to read on, ignoring the others' shouts. Apparently he had been in a killing game prior to the current one, the one we were in. He had been one of the lucky few to survive.

"What the hell!?!? What is this?!" Fuyuhiko exclaimed.

"Oh dear..!" Sonia said, covering her mouth in surprise and worry.

"Why... Why didn't he tell us about this..! Maybe... He could've stopped all of it!" Hajime yelled. Then, without anyone noticing, ce glanced back at me. Right... It's my fault he's dead, isn't he. Damn, Hinata-Kun must really be hating me now...

After the small crowd had died down, Monokuma announced one more thing. "Ah, that reminds me... There will be more surprises awaiting you if you decide to ride the train to the funhouse..." He said it in a mischievous way. He snickered, and then left, popping completely out of sight, just like magic. It still baffled me how he could do that.

In the end, we all decided to make our way to the funhouse. We had to ride a train to get there, and we all climbed aboard, me in the back. Everyone tried there best to distance themselves away from me. Eh. Can't blame them. Not at all.

Then, suddenly, a weird mist started to form around us. There were cries of confusion. Then, before I could say anything, I found myself blacking out, falling asleep almost immediately.
