I tried to find him again after the lunch incident but he vanished! If I only knew what grade he's in or even his name, i would've found him by now. I even kept a sandwich for him since he left without a bite. No wonder he's skinny and tiny. After all, I ended up going home empty-handed.

The next day was pretty much the same thing. It was a boring morning. I still couldn't find him. I was attending classes like a ghost.

It was time for gym class. I changed into a black Nike tight with matching shorts on top of it. A black Nike t-shirt for a top that showed my perfect puffs very clear. That's what I usually work out in. I was aware of the fact that a few heads were turned. Some whispers and whistling.

The gymnasium was basically a basketball field surrounded by stair benches from both sides. Class hasn't started yet. I found an abandoned ball, so I picked it up and started pouncing it, passing some times.

There were other classes taken at the gymnasium. Different kids that I don't recognize. Probably different grades.

I looked at the other basket standing on the other side of the field. I took a shot with the ball, and I easily made it into goal. My arms ached. They were sore from this mornings workout. It was arm day. I went hard on myself.

The whole gymnasium went silent. A couple of girls screamed and wowed me! I acted like nothing had happened. I picked up another ball when the teacher came by.

"Hey, kiddo! Remind me of your name again?" He tightened his eyes at me.

"Jordan, Jimmy Jordan, sir."

"You're new, right? You've been playing basketball before?"

I knew what was coming. I shook my head. I mean, I never played basketball professionally. I only played for fun at the basketball field in the backyard of my house. My cousins joined sometimes, too.

The teacher patted my shoulder. "Would you like to join our basketball team?" He looked me up and down. "You look well shaped. You're tall. So why not, ha? What do you say?" He crossed his arms, waiting for my answer.

I shrugged. "Okay!"

"Great! You just guaranteed your gym grades, haha. Anyways, you can call me coach Lee." He gave me a slap on the shoulder before he left.

I stood there for a second with the ball still in my hands when my peripheral vision caught him. He was sitting on the bench. Does he have a gym class? Wait, he is still in his normal clothes. An oversized cardigan on top of a white shirt. Why didn't he change into gym wear?

I threw the ball aside and grabbed my backpack. I climbed the bleachers, sprinting towards him. I think he was doing homework or something. I sat right beside him. He flinched.

"Hey! You have a class?" I panted, taking a seat beside him.

He frowned at me as if I had grown a second head. I just got lost in his cute eyes. Not to mention his pink plumpy lips. Fuck!

"Who are you again?" He inquired.

"Jimmy."

"No, I..." He sighed. "I know your name, but what do you want from me?" He retreated away from me a little.

"Um!" I didn't know what to say. "I'm- I just wanna make new friends." I grinned.

"With a weirdo like me, who's two grades younger?" He shook his head in disbelief. I could tell he raised an eyebrow despite his golden curls covering it.

I tilted my head. "Come on! Don't call yourself a weirdo. It's... oh! You're sixteen?" I don't know why I was shocked. I didn't expect him to be older anyway.

He sighed nervously. I think he was losing his patience. "Never mind. I really want to be your friend. So, is there any chance you could tell me your name?" I tilted my head at him so I could see those eyes under his golden soft curls.

He hesitated for a minute. His voice came out shaky! "Look! I don't know what kind of prank you're trying to pull on me. But if you think that you could bully the smallest boy in the school, then you're wrong. I can go to the administration office, you know?"

I didn't know how to react or feel, but I could swear I felt my heart ache.

"I'm... I'm not here to pull any pranks or b-bully you." I said calmly. I felt like I was guilty for some reason. When I said bully thinking, what if I look like one.

"Good." He immediately gathered his stuff in a hurry.

"Hey!" I held his arm. "Where you going? You can't skip class?"

He pushed my hand. "What are you? My dad? And please don't touch me?" The side eye was strong.

"I have something for you." He stopped to see what I have. I opened my backpack and grabbed a wrapped sandwich I had prepared for him this morning.

"I noticed you didn't touch your lunch yesterday. I mean, of course you ate since yesterday, but I couldn't stop thinking about it so I made you a sandwich. After all, it's my fault, you haven't touched your lunch. Could you please, um!" I put the sandwich on the bench right next to him. "I'll just leave it here. Take it or leave it, okay?" I got up and walked away.

I definitely didn't want him to feel uncomfortable. I looked back, and he was staring at the sandwich. Our eyes met, so I nervously looked away.

When I looked again, he was gone. But the sandwich was still there.

Baby steps. All I need is baby steps until I gain his trust.
