It didn't take me long to prepare the theater room. We haven't used the room since summer. It's clean and all, but I had to set up the system, plugging the popcorn machine because I know we'll need it. I ordered food for the night. Something healthy for Brandon.Brandon was done with his soup and freshing up after. He wore striped pj pants and a sweater. It's the clothes his mom packed for him.
We got to the theatre room. We sat down on the leathered bed shaped chairs. He hugged a pillow, shrunken on himself.
"Feeling comfortable?" I asked him. He hummed.
"Good. Now, what's your favorite movie?" I asked casually while scrolling down the movies list.
He sighed. "I'm not telling you. You'll make fun of me." He barried his face in the pillow.
I turned my focus to him. "I'm not judgmental. I thought you knew that already."
"You're not gonna know the movie anyway, so forget it."
"Even better. Come on! What is it?" He didn't answer. "Brandon!" I gazed him.
"The l... " He mumbled something I didn't get.
"What?"
"The lake house!" He shouted.
I frowned, trying to ring a bell. I think I've never heard of it. "Is it horror?"
"What! No! It's romantic." He seemed embarrassed.
"Oh!" Okay, he might be right about the fact that you can tell much about a person from his favorite movie! Brandon is a softie, but I knew that already. Even though he try to act otherwise.
"See! You're judging." He snapped.
I almost laughed. "Not at all. I respect your DELICATE choice."
He slapped my shoulder. "Asshole!"
Don't laugh! Don't laugh!
"I didn't say anything! We're watching it, anyway." I searched it and played it.
"You're not gonna like it!" He whined like a kid.
"Oh! Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock! I'm hooked. I liked them in Speed." Interesting choice. I hope I don't cringe right at the beginning. It's not that I have something against romantic movies. It just that it's my mom's favorite genre, and I usually tease her whenever we gather to watch a romantic movie. It's more fun this way.
"Really?" He was surprised. Cute!
The lights went off, leaving us under the screen. "Shh, the movie has started." I held my smile, focusing on the screen.
I felt his eyes on me. I can't deny the tingles I felt through my body. He makes my heart flutter.
We watched half through the movie. It's actually good and interesting! The chemistry between Sandra and Keanu is outstanding, even though they barely had scenes together.
They started slow dancing together at the porch. I smiled at the scene. I heard sniffing!
When I looked at Brandon, he was hiding his face in the pillow, letting his teary eyes out. I smiled at the sight. I leaned a little bit closer to him. He sighed out.
I chose not to say anything until the end. Brandon turned to face me while I was laying my head lazily on the pillow.
"How did you find the movie? It's heartwarming, isn't it? Did you like it?" He seemed excited to know my opinion.
I enjoyed shifting my sight between his teary eyes, red nose, and those damn kissable lips he was biting constantly.
"I admit. I liked it." I smiled. His face brightened. "I knew you were gonna like it."
