I hugged Brandon tighter the minute he gave me permission to take him away. My heart was full, and I was ready to take him and go. Without thinking, without a plan, without anything.

But what would I save him with?

The fact that I'm still grounded and I'm practically broke hit me. I don't even have a single credit card. How am I supposed to protect him like that? What am I gonna drag him into if i took him in with my condition? I'll just add up to his misery.

I knew I couldn't do that without help. And that's what I was willing to do immediately. Call for help.

Brandon and I flinched to the thudding of the steel door, which just got open aggressively. I consciously moved to covered Brandon behind me. But thank god, it was Nate.

"I couldn't believe it was true. I had to see for myself." Nate groaned while approaching us, glaring at Brandon in wide eyes.

"Brandon, my man, where have you b- oh!" He furrowed when he saw Brandon's shaved head. "Fuck! What happened? Are you okay?"

I flickered my eyes for him not to talk about it. He got it and just sat down near us. "I'm glad you're back. We missed you, buddy."

Nate turned to me. "School is so flipped." He smirked. I got what he meant. He was talking about the video I just published.

"Everyone saw it?"

"Sure, they did. It will go viral in no time. The minute they saw the video, He's been taken to the principal office right away. They called his parents." He paused for a second then chuckled in amusement. "And the cops are on their way."

I gave him a bro shake, sighing in relief. That what I wanted. He's definitely getting tested.

"What about us?" I asked.

"Of course they suspect you since no one have been having bad blood with Tucker lately. I mean you put him in hospital after all." He lowered his tone. "He exposed you. So it's obvious." He shrugged.

"No one saw me around anyway, but you were the one who invited the whole team. You're not getting in trouble for me."

"I'm not. They don't dare to mention me there. I've always had a clean record through my school years. Plus, it's not like it was my own party or I'm the one who brought drugs in." He shrugged.

"D-Drugs?" Brandon said weakly.

I held his hand and eyed Nate to stop. I didn't want Brandon to know about any of it. It's the last thing he needed to worry about.

"Baby, you don't need to worry about any of this." I comfortably smiled at him, caressing his cheek.

"Are you guys back together?" Nate asked, bringing tension to the surface.

I was trying so hard to act oblivious. I glared at Nate. He was confused.

When I turned to look at Brandon, our eyes met intensively. He was staring into my eyes. I was begging for him to let it slide and act like nothing had happened. But I know it was a matter of time until he brings it up again.

But I had to clear the atmosphere.

"Nate? We decided to run away." I put the grenade, and I definitely saw the shock on Nate's face.

"Are you serious?"

I shared a look with Brandon. I tried to smile at him, but he was weaker to smile back.

"Yes. I'm totally serious." I drew a serious look on my face when I turned to look at him.

He sighed and looked away for a second. "What can I do for you?"
